The feudal Japan expansion. Debt returns, now with on-play debt; Events also return. Prophecies are rules changes that will happen sometime in the future, after enough Omens are played; Shadow cards can leap into play from the bottom of your deck. Shadows can be played from your deck. Playing a card from the deck works just like playing one from your hand. Omens provide a way to tick down time until the Prophecy. Omen cards remove Sun Tokens from the Prophecy. When there are no more Sun tokens, the Prophecy takes effect. If any Kingdom cards have the Omen type, one Prophecy is included in the game. Prophecies are rules that can eventually apply to the game. Flavor We journey now to the islands to the east – or west, depending on where you are relative to them. Here your title is Emperor. They tell you you’re just a figurehead, though you can still order whatever breakfast you want. They may be right; you did get that breakfast. Your ceremonial sword and armor are made of paper.
