The Sayl the Faithless DLC pack introduces the treacherous sorcerer as a playable Legendary Lord for Immortal Empires and Custom Battles. Sayl leads the Dolgans from the new four-region province of Mountain’s End, rising to power through lies and betrayal. Sayl’s ascendancy began when he manipulated his tribe into a Daemonic ritual—only to sabotage it, fusing his peers into the Chaos Spawn Nightmaw, his monstrous and mindlessly loyal companion. Unlike his peers’ brute-force tactics, Sayl thrives on cunning and deception. Unique mechanic: Manipulations A master schemer, Sayl uses an array of Manipulations to weaken his enemies by disrupting the logistics of their armies, throwing their settlements in disarray and even directly whispering lies that warp and sever their diplomatic ties with friends and neighbours. Even his own forces are subject to the machinations of the Twisted Seer of the Waste in their march to victory and doom. Growing in power unlocks additional Manipulations, ever more potent and treacherous but relying on them is equally as treacherous. Too many Manipulations in a short time span will inevitably attract dark, malevolent attention that Sayl needs to navigate around or else he will suffer for his transgressions.
