What SteamPulse Displays

SteamPulse publishes public Steam game information, player-count statistics, store metadata, pricing signals, reviews, release dates, screenshots, trailers, DLC, soundtrack, package, and historical chart data.

Account Sign-In And Dashboard Data

SteamPulse may offer Steam sign-in for account features, dashboards, saved preferences, or user-specific tools. Steam sign-in is handled through Steam's authentication flow. SteamPulse does not ask for, receive, or store Steam passwords.

Cookies, Analytics, And Ads

SteamPulse uses cookies or similar storage for sessions, dashboard state, preferred currency, cache control, security checks, and abuse prevention. Google Tag Manager may load analytics, advertising measurement, consent, or diagnostics tags. SteamPulse may use Google AdSense, Mediavine or Journey ad-management services if approved, and other advertising partners. Those partners may use cookies, device identifiers, IP-derived location signals, browser information, or similar technologies to measure ads, prevent fraud, limit repeated ads, report performance, or personalize ads where allowed by law and consent settings.

Mediavine Programmatic Advertising (Ver 1.1)

If SteamPulse is approved to work with Mediavine, Mediavine may manage third-party interest-based advertising on the Website. Advertising services can use first-party cookies, third-party cookies, tags, pixels, beacons, browser details, device information, IP address, language, referral source, geolocation signals, traffic data, and interactions with ads or pages to measure, target, optimize, and report advertising.

Access Logs And Security

Server and edge logs may include page URL, timestamp, IP address, browser user-agent, referrer, Cloudflare request identifiers, status code, and timing details. These logs are used for security, debugging, uptime, abuse prevention, and reliability.

Data Retention

SteamPulse keeps operational logs, cache records, account session records, and analytics data only as long as reasonably needed for site operations, security, debugging, legal compliance, reporting, and abuse prevention. Public game analytics records may be retained for historical charts and long-term trend analysis.

Reddit Devvit App And Gateway

SteamPulse may provide a Reddit Devvit app called SteamPulse Live. When a subreddit moderator creates a SteamPulse Live post, the app uses the selected Steam app ID and display mode to request lightweight public game activity data from a SteamPulse gateway. The gateway handles Steam app IDs, game names, player counts, peaks, chart points, update times, and SteamPulse links. SteamPulse does not use that gateway to receive Reddit usernames, comments, private subreddit data, member lists, moderator data, or Reddit account identifiers. Technical access logs for the gateway may still record request timing, IP or edge metadata, user-agent, status code, and similar security information.

Official Social Publishing

SteamPulse may publish public game-chart summaries, SteamPulse page links, images, and update posts to official SteamPulse profiles on Bluesky, Mastodon, Tumblr, and similar social platforms. Those posts are based on public SteamPulse pages and do not require visitors to have a SteamPulse account. If you follow, like, reply to, share, or message SteamPulse on those platforms, the platform provider handles that interaction under its own privacy policy and terms.

Visitors can use browser settings, platform controls, consent tools when shown, or third-party opt-out controls to limit cookies, ad personalization, and tracking technologies.
