Hello everyone, A new patch for Blacksad has already been released, here is what has been done: • Fixes freezes when Blacksad walks or when players perform actions • The game can now be launched properly if the Xbox One Gamepad is already used • Fixes a crash that would happen when players use the Deduction Menu during a loading screen • Pressing buttons during loading screens don’t create bugs anymore • Fixes a bug during the loading screen in the car while players are pressing RB multiple times • Fixes the bug encountered when players open the Menu while Blacksad is on the phone • Fixes a bug that would happen when John refuses to take Sonia’s case • The catsense is now properly displayed when players try to shoot the sniper Looking forward to hearing your feedback on this update!

- Blacksad: Under the Skin review - 13 November 2019
This should have been a brilliant game. In fact, it is—in bursts. How could it not be? You play as a cat called John who looks like Batman wearing Columbo’s coat; a cat with his own detective agency. This is a noir thriller set in 1950s New York that dutifully hits the notes you’d expect. In the biggest 'however' you’ll come across all year though, thanks to the comics this draws from, every single character is an anthropomorphised animal. I can not stress enough that Blacksad: Under The Skin is essentially a 9-hour fever dream. This fact is key to almost every compliment and criticism that can be hurled at the game. The story opens with a rhino angry that you’ve got photos of him cheating on his wife with a fox, for goodness sake! Blacksad is a series of Spanish-created, French-published graphic novels about a cat in a long coat who solves mysteries. Are you not already sold ? I read the first volume earlier this year, since they've been published in lovely English hardcovers by Dark Horse Comics. They're simple and compelling noir mysteries set in a world of humanoid animals, and if you can forgive a few eyebrow-raising female character designs, I give them a strong recommendation.  This game is impressively faithful to the tone of those books, and it'll probably remind most people of Telltale's The Wolf Among Us, given that you're solving a mystery while interacting with talking animals. But while Blacksad: Under the Skin uses a similar cinematic presentation to recent Telltale games, it also contains the kind of puzzles you'd expect from a traditional point-and-click adventur…
