Photographs v 1.1 Honestly, I wasn't too sure about this patch. One commonly requested feature was some sort of integrated hints, but because they puzzles in the game sort of tell the story I was a bit wary of short-circuiting that. Also, sometimes I find if a game tries to say something like 'maybe you want to decrease the difficulty?' It's a bit like kicking you when you're down. So I added a little hint system which will just give you a nudge in the right direction, it can be set to always on / always off however your prefer, and the default is 'dynamic' -- I've gone through the puzzles and based on how hard the puzzle is set a delay before a hint becomes available which I hope is the best of both worlds. Still, more and more I believe that Photographs is a narrative game and not puzzle game so It shouldn't be completely gated by puzzle difficulty, so I added the ability to skip puzz…

Hello , I've just released a new version, Lots of bugfixes, but two interesting things are 1 - Developer Commentary - you can switch this on in the settings menu now. 2 - If you reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally want to see different endings after completing the game, I added a cheat menu, just hit the cog icon on the settings menu 10 times in a row. Their latest release, Photographs , is a very different prospect. Gone is the match-3, and instead comes a combination of story and puzzle. This is a collection of five narrative vignettes, each taking about half an hour to an hour to complete, telling stories both through some beautiful pixel art, and via the puzzles themselves. As a puzzle game, it’s five completely different puzzle types, each growing in complexity as you progress. As a story game, these are delicate, heartfelt tales told in developing pixel drawings, scoured by a zooming camera lens for clues. (more…)
