- Quick Note on Upcoming Updates - 7 June 2022
Hello all, Hope you are doing well! I wanted to give a quick shout since it has been a while. As many of you have noticed things been moving rather slow. This partly due to funding (or lack thereof) issues for this project but also the sheer amount of work involved. Nonetheless, slowly but surely, things are moving in the right direction. Also, to put some of you at ease, I have no intentions of abandoning this project, surrender is not an option, fight to the death! The good I am happy to say, I have completed an entirely new open world system. This will allow us to have a huge map without any loading. The best part about this is that, you (the potential Modder) will be able to create an entirely new map using your own assets. You will however need to use the Unity editor to make these maps and I will make a tutorial when the time comes -it is not too difficult. I am nearly finished wi…

Hello all, I hope everyone is enjoying the Christmas and holidays! I just want to say how grateful I am for your support this year and I could not have done this without you! I also want to give you a quick summary of what is currently being worked on and will be showing up during the Q1 of next year. You will in fact see some of these showing up within the next several weeks. I have been reading all your comments and feedback and I have found some of the items require special attention. Especially when it comes to interacting and vehicle operation. Improvements to Tiger and Vehicle Systems Tiger will be going through the next phase of its updates. You will see improvements to lighting, shadows, visuals, and mechanics such as fuel consumption and overheating. Tiger will also receive a hull machine-gun, interior and exterior lights, and smoke dischargers. I am also reworking some of the…

- Armored Front is now on Early Access! - 20 November 2021
Hello Tank Commanders! Thank you for your long patience and supporting the game thus far! There are few things you should understand before purchasing/playing. This game is not intended for VR beginners and you will need have some VR experience and understand the intricacies of VR. Game only features a smooth locomotion system and there is no teleport! This is an Early Access game. Game is currently at an Alpha state with a lot of work ahead. This means that the game is incomplete, buggy, imperfect, and can be frustrating to play! Content will be limited, especially in the beginning. Not only that, but as the game develops, things will be added, changed, or removed! If you would like a more complete game, I highly encourage you to wait for the final release! If you are OK with everything above, enjoy the game and thank you for being an early supporter! Levels There are 4 levels availabl…
- Release date - 11 November 2021
Hello all, First, thank you for patiently following this game for such a long time! Secondly, I apologize for the recent release delays! And unfortunately, I will be needing few additional days before I am ready to publish. There were new content added to the game and that required little more time than I anticipated. Despite this, I am happy to announce that I was able to exceed the content goals for the Early Access release. You will have infantry AI, armored AI, off map air and artillery support at your disposal. Rest assured that the game will be out in a few days! New release date will be in 8 days from now, Friday the 19th. Until then, I hope you enjoy this new trailer, highlighting some of the added content. Thank you and appreciate your patience! AFTC

Hello All, Playtest will go alive shortly! Those who requested access should get a notification. Keep in mind that you may have to restart the Steam app for it to show up in the library. Important There are now two new forums on Steam. One called Feedback and the other is Bug/Issues Report. Please these forums for bug reports and feedback. Also, please create a separate, new post per bugs/issues/feedback, etc.. so they can be easily tracked and resolved. Discord is fine for quick questions but it is impossible to keep track of things, so please use Steam forums for communications. Here are few tips to get you started Controls Almost everything in the game can be manipulated by hand without pressing a button on the controller. You can also grab hold of things by hovering over the handover interactive items (such as levers) and pressing the Grip button on your controller. You can fire the…
- Playtest and the Release Date - 25 September 2021
Dear Commanders, Hope you are having a great weekend! Just a quick announcement about the first Playtest and the release date. Playtest You may now request to Playtest through the Steam, Armored Front Store page. Please keep in mind that only a limited amount of players will be allowed. Playtest will take place at some time (depending on time zone) from Friday, Oct 1, 2021, to late Sunday, Oct 3, 2021. Note that if you do not see a request access button, that means all available slots for this Playtest have been filled up. Release Date The release date is now set for November 5, 2021 (Pacific time-zone). I must reiterate that this will be an Early Access game (See Roadmap) and there is still a lot of work to be done. So, please do NOT expect the polished quality of a final released game. There WILL be plenty of bugs and imperfections, so this may not be for everyone’s taste. So, if you…
- Development update and Playtest - 19 September 2021
Hello All, I thank you for sticking with Armored Front thus far and I hope you will enjoy what we have coming up. Play Test First, playtest will take place at some time (depending on time zone) from Friday, Oct 1, 2021, to late Sunday, Oct 3, 2021. Please note that there will be limited slots. If you do not get a slot, don’t worry, there will be another test before the release. You cannot request access yet, but I should have this ready by next Sunday. Please take a moment to go over the roadmap and if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask. Also, keep note that this is a live roadmap. This means every time a feature is completed this road map will get updated. Therefore you can always refer to this to find out about the current state of the game an…
- Development Progress Update (Game world 2) - 25 July 2021
Good day Commanders! During the last couple of weeks, we moved one more step closer to Early Access. The world map was further improved and finalized. Most likely this will not change until after the Early Access launch. Enhanced visuals fidelity of the world map Added several new areas Added mountain, which we plan to improve over time to incorporate these into game play Implemented a road network which you will hear more on this later Improved some of the interior areas of the Tiger Within the next couple of weeks, you will get to see some of this in action and hopefully in a video! Hope you have a great weekend! AFTC
- Development Progress Update (Game world) - 4 July 2021
Happy 4th of July everyone! Hope you are having a wonderful day off (hopefully with some good food)! I know it has been some time since the last update so I wanted to give a brief account of what’s been going on. Openworld It was clear from your overwhelming votes (on Discord) that the vast majority of you want an open-world game. And so, without further ado, I started working on the open world. I decided it would be best to start out with this now rather than adding it on later. In fact, I am very happy to say that the work required to get this on Early Access is mostly complete! Tiger 1 Most things required for Early Access are now complete but we are still working on damage, repairs, and rearming. Most likely these will be simplified for Early Access and will continue to grow during EA. AI Vehicles Basic AI for Early Access is now complete and they will evolve with development during…

Happy New Year Tank Commanders! Hope you all had a great Christmas and holidays! Just wanted to give you a quick update video and share with you few things Armored Front has been busy with. Hope you enjoy it! Stay safe out there! AFTC
- Development Progress Update #3 - 2 November 2020
Hello All! Hope you all had a great weekend! There were number of improvements and implementations that happened with systems and coding since the last update, but today, I am not going to bore you with the technical stuff. I am here to give you a quick sneak-peek of the new movement system that I mentioned in update #1 and a glimpse of the Tiger's interior. I know inside looks a little empty now, but not to worry! This is because the tank is still at the factory getting assembled. By the time it is issued to you it will be locked and loaded with everything you need to survive! Until next time! AFTC
- Development Progress Update #2 - 18 October 2020
Hello, Tankers! It was yet another busy week but most of the work done was code-related, so there isn't anything too flashy to share today. However, I still wanted to give you a quick recap of what was done. Tiger's Lower Hull This week, the lower hull was stripped of all its components and received a coat of "Afrika Korp Tropical" paint scheme. But of course, the logistics company that was in charge managed to miss-handle it during transportation, I think they might be a little jealous! However, the camo we will be applying in the field will cover the scratches right up. And that reminds me, yes you will be able to change color schemes and camouflage in the future! Each camo scheme will adversely affect how you are detected by the enemy. ːsteamhappyː UI Interaction User Interface Interaction System was recreated from scratch this week. There will be a wrist menu (like a quick menu) whi…
- Development Progress Update #1 - 11 October 2020
Dear Tiger Commanders! Just wanted to give you a quick status update on the development progress and share a few screenshots. Since the last announcement, it has been a very busy two weeks and a lot of progress was made in artwork and, in areas of code and framework. Art Update A new turret came out of the factory with an 88 gun and most of the vital parts. This should carry us up to the Early Access launch. However, do keep in mind that this model is by no means meant to be the final version. Please take this as a starting point and a work in progress. The model and the detail will be improved significantly over the course of the development. Commander Cupola Tiger commander had 7 periscopes in the cupola, giving a good 360-degree view of the battlefield. 8.8 cm KwK 36 Generally referred to as "the 88", this feared gun was able to fire Panzergranate 39 (APCBC), HEAT, HE, and the Panzer…
- Armored Front: Tiger Command - 29 September 2020
Hello All, I hope you are all safe during these uncertain times. I know it has been some time since my last update, but development has been going strong and I have some exciting news for you. I will try to keep this short, sweet, and to the point. Armored Front will be taking a different turn and going big and heavy! Instead of the T34, you will now be taking command of the Legendary Tiger 1 Heavy Tank. The core concept will be more or less the same but from now on the game will be centered around a Tiger tank in North African Theatre. What is new and will be available at Early Access release? You will Take Command of a Panzerkampfwagen VI Tiger The game takes place in the treacherous landscape of North Africa giving an open landscape better suited for tank combat Driver Crew Station: Interactively drive the tank Gunner Crew Station: Manually (with touch controller) operate the mighty…
