- 1.1.0 Update - 23 June 2021
1.1.0 Features A brand new focus, the homing swarm. Excellent for keeping combos going at long range, or taking down those high speed Lancers. Fixes and Tweaks Fixed bug occasionally causing rapid fire turret enemies to stop spawning at higher scores. Fixed bug where the timer could stop running in time attack. A smattering of performance improvements. I also have another seeecret update in the works for a feature that's been requested a lot. I'm having to do a lot of tweaking to make sure it doesn't break the existing balance too much, so hold on tight. Come say hi on the Discord: https://discord.gg/TuNEJK5

Little surprise update, here's a couple graphical updates that I've been wanting to do for some time. Why now? Why indeed. 1.0.10 Features New muzzle flashes for each focused weapon Drone enemies now face more towards their current velocity, and lean into their turns, making it easier to see how you're moving compared to them.

- 1.0.6 Update - 15 August 2020
After a few performance and polish updates I'm excited to finally launch Airborn's first content update, and this one brings Time Attack, a fast-paced race to reach insane scores by stringing together perfect combos. In this mode, players start off with 5 minutes to reach as high a score as possible. The Aspect boss doesn't spawn in this mode, so the name of the game is diving from enemy to enemy keeping up a combo as long as possible. Taking damage no longer reduces health, but instead knocks 10 seconds off the clock. Precious time can be added back to the timer by grabbing the new purple pickups dropped by enemies. A new gamemode means a new leaderboard to make your mark on, and with games lasting around 5 minutes each, I'm hoping it'll have you itching for just one more round. Thanks for playing, and stay tuned for more updates to come! Changelog: 1.0.6 Features - Added the new Time…

- We have liftoff! - 24 July 2020
After about 2.5 years of development, I couldn't be happier to say that Airborn is finally out. I can't wait to see everyone taking off and soaring up the leaderboards! It's been a while since I posted a changelog on Steam so I'm just going to summarise the highlights from the last few months of updates: Equip perks in any slot you want! - Beta 0.4 - Boss Update - 26 April 2020
This update introduces a deadly foe to Airborn. The Aspect is a colossal war machine that sends wave after wave of missiles at you, and chases you down with a devastating laser beam. Features - Brand new boss fight to test your mastery of the game. It spawns once you've achieved a high score and is not to be taken lightly. - Improved combat theme - New sound effects for basically everything: UI, weapons, enemies, explosions
- Beta 0.3 Update - 8 February 2020
This is a big one, finally I can reveal the progression system in Airborn that I've been working away on! Each piece of equipment has multiple challenges of increasing difficulty tied to it, which upon completion grants XP. These missions are designed to encourage you to use the weapon in the scenarios it handles best (like destroying laser turrets from up close with the shotguns), or to really hone your mastery of the game mechanics (like destroying 10 enemies without getting hit). Some missions need to be completed in a single game, others you can work away at over time. I'm hoping that this challenge system will give players something new to aim for every time they hop into Airborn. The next few updates will be around adding rewards that you can spend your new XP on. My ambition is to provide a ton of varied playstyles that are still true to the spirit of Airborn. That is, taking ris…
