The Sun has taken your face. You did something wrong. Something you can't even remember. Your identity was seized as punishment; your visage is now sealed behind a magical mask. But you have a plan. WANDER through a fantasy world stuck in an eternal sunset. BARTER with other merchants and acquire curious artifacts. BEFRIEND other travelers to exchange goods and information. Get rich. Offer your most precious treasures to the Sun. Buy your face back. Selling Sunlight is an open-world role-playing game focused on trading, traveling and talking. Play as a mysterious masked merchant, and explore a fantastic world stuck in an eternal sunset. Features hand-painted graphics, no fights, and entirely too many bees. (You can pet the bees. They are fluffy.) Wander through a gentle, weird world. Meet the Golden Priests, who traded flesh for sunlight. Befriend the giant bees of the Golden Beehive. Or visit Green Hamlet, where trees are made of glass. And while you're there, buy some wood to sell to the fishermen of the Teal Atheneum, the port city, where fish-shaped books swim in the tanks of the library-aquarium. Use your world map to plan your trade route, and gradually fill your chart with new settlements and gathering points discovered during your journeys. Random events , good and bad, can disrupt your travels: a broken wheel, a meeting with another merchant, a mysterious spirit calling you from the depths of a well... Barter with other merchants to maximize your profits. Never buy at a full price! With the haggling system, you can offer special deals to turn the transaction in your favor. Tell a funny story to lighten up a tense negotiation; offer favors and juicy gossip in exchange for free goods; or just beg for a discount while making a sad face. But don't let a merchant's patience run out, or they will cancel the deal! Keep bartering with the same merchants to unlock new deals that require mutual trust . Deliver goods to remote cities for a cut of the profits. Promise the cloth seller to help him find a nice gift for his wife. Help the curious archeologist look for ancient ruins. You don't have to become a ruthless speculator to get rich. You can just be kind.…
