• Summer Is Here Update - 30 June 2024

  Get ready for the largest update so far, and probably the last one before the full release! Summer Update: Welcome to the Komakas Region! This summer, embark on a new adventure with a dozen new levels in the Komakas region. The Komakas is the stretch of sea separating the Edge from the rest of the continent. Continue your journey from the battle against Greedy Bear and explore the islands until you reach the Continent. To reach the Komakas, you can also take advantage of the tunnels under the Edge, offering a convenient shortcut if you can find them. These tunnels can be accessed from the Serene Tunnels, bypassing the surrounding caves. While exploring the islands, encounter new foes including sparring pirates, bomb-tossing pirates, and mysterious giant tentacles. Use boats and balloons to travel to distant locations. • Quick patch, preparing major update - 8 February 2024

  A quick patch has been published in order to address connectivity issues. The game should now connect normally. The game intro splash has been modified and is now using the stock Unity splash. On a side note, the game should load faster than before, and keep a constant resolution. New levels are now available, and will be properly introduced in a separate post.

  The game is back online via the new released client. There's no extra content beside the hosting changes. But more will come soon indeed!

• The game is temporarily unavailable - 22 September 2023

  Due to a change in hosting, Wawa United will be temporarily unavailable for a few hours. The game will be updated to reflect the change, and everything will be back to normal very soon. All previous versions of the game will not work anymore.

• Patch 0.9.7 - 24 April 2023

  Patch 0.9.7 A new patch has been issued. Both full and test versions have been updated. New things: Auto Chat Introducing for absolutely no reason the Auto Chat option, leveraging the power of ChatGPT. When you enable the GPT option in the chat box, you will be able to answer automatically to your friends or even bots! This feature depends on the availability of ChatGPT, downtimes may occur. UI Improvements: - Directional arrows have been significantly improved. Including the helper arrows you can place using F. You can now press F once to show a location, and press again to remove the location. - The status of players will now be displayed, allowing other players to know if their friends are AFK, or writing something. - End level screen has been improved and will be more accurate. • Content update: 0.9.5 Infinite Tower - 25 July 2022

  Wawa United version 0.9.5 is now live: The Infinite Tower is now available ! A single player, randomly generated level where the goal is to last as long as you can. Open to all players of the full version of Wawa United! The level is available right after "The Hidden Bay of Wonders". It does not unlock any other level. If you already completed the Bay, it will be unlocked automatically for you. If completed by any one player, the Tower will regenerate itself! You may also witness the following changes: - The game will now start MUCH faster thanks to various optimizations. - You can now carve your own messages at the end of a level (instead of having a limited choice of pre-written sentences). - Sound effects have been modified. - A new enemy has been added. Random disconnections should not happen. - Framerate dropping issues in multiplayer have hopefully been fixed.   Wawa United has been updated to version 0.9.4. URGENT: Drastic performance issues, failures to connect and random disconnections have been reported in multiplayer games, making online multiplayer next to unplayable. These issues have been analyzed, their causes are known, and they are being worked on. This is the highest priority at the moment and a hotfix should be published soon. I am absolutely sorry for the inconvenience. It is advised to avoid multiplayer until they are resolved. IMPORTANT: If the game causes issues on start or if the controls do not respond as they should, you should reset the keybinds to their defaults in the settings menu. If this does not work, REMOVE the folder User/YourUserName/AppData/Roaming/WawaUnited. No worries, it is designed to regenerate.   A new update is available for both demo and full versions.Here are the changes : - A lovely new soundtrack is now available in the lobby. - The lobby has been made more vibrant with slight color corrections. - Upon placing objects in the lobby, the grass will now shrink in size where objects were placed. Grass grows back when you remove objects. This will hopefully make the space cleaner looking and objects more visible. - Slight changes and optimizations made through all levels. - Slight graphic improvements on the world map. - A bug disconnecting players in the Cave Escape level has been solved. - Minor bug corrections.

  Wawa United has been updated to 0.9.2. This version contains (huge) improvements on existing content. New content should still take a little longer. Changes: - Most levels have been modified to various degrees. Globally they have been made easier to get through and make more sense. - The game should now support controllers.   Hello back dear frogs, It's been a long while without news. As the latest build was looking stable enough, I didn't rush into pushing bug fixing patches every other week and started focusing on new content. I originally was eager to push the first huge content update for Wawa United on its first release anniversary, September 11th. Obviously, I missed the deadline*, but there is good news: there is a lot of content and bug fixes on the pipes. I have been putting every single hour of the time I had available into creating this new content and hopefully it will be worth it once it's ready. I am eager to share it with you, so I will use this post to detail what is going on, and also some screenshots! * I would have missed it anyway. 1. • Small Update - 16 July 2021

  An update has been published for both full and demo versions. Here are the changes: - A tracking arrow will now show your partners whenever they are off screen. - Fixed some glitches with lightning in some places where lightning was supposed to be improved. However, some bugs remain that will hopefully be fixed soon : - WARNING : The "Infinite Tower" has been activated by mistake in the world map. However, if you try to access the level, the game will crash. Please ignore it for now. - The "collect" button for gem-generating items in the lobby is broken when playing fullscreen.

  After a long while, an update has been published for both demo and full versions. Note that I am still working on the next content updates, which will bring the Komaka Islands to life, allowing our favorite frogs to cross the sea separating the Edge from the Continent, and continue their travel. I am still working on The Infinite Tower, but technical challenges and the need to focus on other things led me to push it to the second position and prioritize the Komakas instead. It is coming. • Minor Patch - 8 May 2021

  I tried to be clever while trying to optimize loading times, which resulted in major instabilities or in some cases completely disabling online play. Because you know, nothing faster than not loading anything amirite! Well, this has been fixed and online is now back. Don't hesitate to contact me if the game keeps behaving somehow. The patch is for both demo and full versions, here are the changes: - Online multiplayer has been fixed. A bug introduced in a previous version would time out players trying to join a lobby. - The world map has been slightly improved. - Other minor stuff has been improved but really I didn't keep track.

  A minor update has been published for both demo and full versions, here are the changes: - Minor bug fixes. - Work under the hood for updates to come. The update is of a bigger size than usual, this is because of major changes in the API and the compiler. Hopefully this has been tested and should be bug-free and seamless. However if any unexpected bug should pop up, don't hesitate to report it.

• Update 0.9.1 - 7 March 2021

  Wawa United 0.9.1 has been published for both demo and full versions. The changes are as follow : - You can now carve a custom comment and a custom picture when you finish a level under certain circumstances : when you win, when you finish an adventure for the first time, and when you perfect it (meaning, you cleaned every single gem with full health double bonus). Many improvements have been made and bugs fixed : - Blank green screens have been resolved for online games. They should not occur anymore when trying to join a lobby. - Actions should now respond correctly under all circumstances. - and many minor bug fixes. HOWEVER, it is important to note that demo accounts cannot play online with full versions, for technical reasons not related to design.   A minor update has been applied to both demo and full versions. It should have been part of the next content update, but it was hard to justify retaining the bug fixes when I can just be awesome right away. The next content update should be coming March 1st, next monday. Ine the meanwhile, here are the patch notes for 0.9.0b: - Fixed bugs concerning the opening of Parcels and some lobby item placement bugs. - The Infinite Tower is now shown on the world map right after you complete The Hidden Bay Of Wonders.
