- Queen's Wish: The Conqueror Updated to v1.2 - 13 October 2025
We have updated Queen's Wish: The Conqueror to v1.2. This patch fixes a number of smaller issues, and completely reworks how the game is drawn and animated. Includes full screen scaling and magnification options for those with vision issues. Enjoy! Version 1.2 Patch Notes - October 13, 2025- The Queen's Wish engine now supports proper monitor scaling, and everything should be drawn at a much more legible and attractive size. In Settings, you can toggle between Fullscreen and Windowed mode. You can also set magnification to zoom the view in or out.- Animations should be much smoother.- A longstanding Mac issue with corrupted screenshots should be fixed.- A variety of minor improvements and typo fixes.

- Geneforge 2 - Infestation Kickstarter Launched! - 8 February 2023
We have launched a Kickstarter for our next title, a full remaster of Geneforge 2, released wayyyy back in 2003. Geneforge 2 - Infestation will be the second chapter in the reborn Geneforge Saga. We want to go over it and redo everything, adding new characters, quests, monsters to create, and training paths to scorch (or save) the mountains of Drypeak. We’re really excited about the remasters. The first one, Geneforge 1 - Mutagen, is our best-selling game in a long time, and its follow-up will have a lot of fun new stuff to keep the series fresh for newcomers and old fans alike. The Kickstarter will run for a month, and it has a mix of old and new stretch goals and rewards. Backers can still add content to the game (an experiment which has been a huge success), and, for the first time, you can now get physical Spiderweb merch. - Major Queen's Wish Update! - 27 October 2021
We have updated Queen's Wish: The Conqueror to v1.1. The new version has completely revamped creature graphics and lots of small improvements. They're great improvements for our retro indie adventure. We just had a successful Kickstarter for the next game in the Queen's Wish trilogy, Queen's Wish 2: The Tormentor. Part of the funds for that are going into improved graphics, and we wanted to get that art into the first game. Queen's Wish 2 should be out in 2022. Enjoy!

Our new fantasy epic, Queen's Wish: The Conqueror, has been out several weeks, and the response has been fantastic! Sales and reviews have been great, and we are already starting to plan Queen's Wish 2. We are so grateful to be able to keep writing this trilogy! So long as there exists a market for ’90s style party-managing RPGs, Spiderweb Software and its mostly-solo designer Jeff Vogel will be there. The studio’s next fantasy strategy RPG, Queen’s Wish: The Conqueror , is near-ish to completion, and while anything can happen in the wacky world of game dev, Spiderweb reckon it’ll be out this autumn. The first in a potential series (having concluded the stories of Geneforge , Avernum and Avadon ), it’s the story of a young royal leader fighting to get into their family’s good books by reviving a lost colony.
