- Été v.1.1.0 Beta: Performance patch - 14 December 2024
Hi painters! I've been hard at work on a performance patch since release. The goals are to give more graphical options, improve framerate, reduce loading times, reduce memory usage, and fix memory leaks (which might be the cause of crashes on Steam Deck). This patch is now available on the Beta branch of Été. The full instructions to download it and the full changelog can be found on this Steam Discussions post. While this patch is a large step in the right direction, there is more that could be done. However, further optimizations will take significant time to implement and I wanted to make sure the community had access to at least a functional beta before the Holidays. I hope this makes your Été experience smoother this holiday season! Cheers! - Lazlo
- Été v.1.0.2 - 10 September 2024
Été v.1.0.2 is a minor patch consisting mostly of bugfixes. However, one often request quality of life change made it in: while at the easel (painting on canvas), time will pause at dusk, meaning you will no longer get kicked out of painting to sleep! You can spend as much uninterrupted time as you want painting an artwork. Do note however that earlier in the day, time will progress normally, all the way to the end (dusk). Full change log: Changed: Disable time passing at dusk while at easel Changed: Increase first burst charge requirement during tutorial Fixed: Missing ruined brick walls from album Fixed: Impossible to store decorations Fixed: Floating avatar spike in safari tent moment Fixed: Oversized bus stop in apt diorama Fixed: Dyslexia-alleviating font broken in some interface elements Fixed: Unreachable drops above some lampposts Fixed: Unreachable drops on tarp of Fabienne's w…

New Artwork Mailing Mailing artworks no longer removes them from the game Any artwork can now be mailed, even those turned in for quests or sold Previously mailed artworks will be returned to the portfolio upon updating Remove artwork mailing restriction during special quest moments (e.g. tutorial sparrow, graffiti tag) Lowered exported artwork resolution from 4K to 2K so the filesize is below limits of Discord & most social media Time Passing Time no longer progresses while in the Album Time no longer progresses while in the Map Exposition Added party decorations during expo (technically should always have been there but got disabled by mistake in the v.1.0.0 build -- oops!) Fixes Fixed: Decoration doesn't deselect on opening inventory, which can softlock tutorial when picking another decoration with one currently selected Fixed: Special quest-only exhibits can be manipulated by player…
