Here's the rundown of what's new in 1.1: Can now play with AI on multiplayer. Can now join and play public multiplayer matches through Steam. A Construction Tab for easy production management. 12 new songs. 4 new Alexus Jonas Journal Entries to unlock. 4 new Cult Events to encounter and deal with. More in depth Options Menu. An Autosave has been added. Sound Effects for each unique unit, and more sounds in general. Tool-tips cause less clutter. AI no longer clutter the map with unnecessary Summoned Land. Can now walk into allies’ territories. Optimized the game so that late game does not cause dips in frame-rate. Changed the Demented Hound to cost 8k Cultists from 10k cultists. - Game Has Been Released! - 25 November 2019
The game has been released! It's been a very hectic time, but here we are! And yes it's technically been out for a couple days, but there was a bug posting this announcement earlier! Either way this is the day I had said would be the release, so it all works out. Also, anyone that was given free beta access from the last event will keep their beta access for the rest of the day (probably around 3 AM EST). I hope you guys have fun! - Game has been delayed a couple weeks, but open beta is August 3-4! - 30 July 2019
Sorry for the incoming bad news, but Cthulhu's Catharsis is not able to meet the July 2019 release date. Now you may be asking, "why did this man wait until literally July 30th to tell us this?" Because now there's good news: First --the release date is now officially set to August 14th, barring any sort of disaster. Any even in some kind of horrible reality-destroying disaster, I promise to make the best attempt to bring you your dose of video game in whatever void we're sucked into. Second --the open beta for you guys in the official Discord will be available to play starting August 3rd at 6 PM EST and until August 4th 11:59 PM EST (this Saturday and Sunday). You can play singleplayer against the AI (I'll try and smarten them up for you guys too) or multiplayer against/with each other and also me.
