- Updated Demo & Exciting Publisher Announcement - 26 March 2026
Hey folks - sorry for the lack of updates, but I am here with excellent news: He Who Watches has a publisher! And not just any publisher, Draknek & Friends! If you're reading this it's very likely you already know some of their games, but they are masters of the genre. A Monster's Expedition and Bonfire Peaks are two games of theirs I loved even before I started development on this, and so they're a great natural fit for He Who Watches. I've been working with them for a few weeks now and I'm thrilled to have them as partners on the game. To celebrate the announcement, we've updated the demo and we're doubling down on production to really bring a deep polish to the game.We might even have a new release date for you soon - I promise you it's going to be worth the wait!Wishlist now:
- Release Delay - 6 November 2025
Hi folks,Sorry it has been a minute! It's been an incredibly busy time finishing up the game and preparing for release. I originally announced that He Who Watches would come out in Fall 2025, and as you may have guessed (considering that it's already November) we aren't going to hit that date. It breaks my heart to delay the release, but I just don't think it's quite to the quality bar that it needs to be at. Cue that famously misappropriated Miyamoto quote. This is mostly due to my poor planning, but also due to the fact that I'm just one person working on it, and life happens. It will come out soon™, and as much as I want to give a more specific estimate than that I think I've learned my lesson! Probably shouldn't have immortalized that Fall 2025 deadline in a trailer. Whoops. I'm incredibly excited to get this game out the door and into your brains, I'm sorry it's taking forever. - Bo…
- Cerebral Puzzle Showcase 2024 - Demo Release! - 23 May 2024
Hello all - The 2024 edition of Cerebral Puzzle Showcase starts today and we're in it with a brand new demo! This month has been massive for thinky/puzzle game releases, and I'm excited to join the crowd with this demo! If you've played the previous one from last year, this is still worth checking out as the overlap between the two is pretty small. I hope you enjoy! Thanks again to Draknek & Friends for setting this whole event up! - Bobby p.s. We are of course still working towards the full release, hope to have some more news on that front soon.
- Cerebral Puzzle Showcase & Tiny Teams Festivals! - 3 August 2023
Hello puzzlers! We are super excited to be a part of both the Cerebral Puzzle Showcase and Tiny Teams festivals this week! There's a new demo ready that is hot off the press. Please do check out the games in both of these festivals, as there are some amazing thinky games that are also likely made by some tiny teams. Huge thanks to Yogscast & Astra Games (particularly Joseph Mansfield) for settings up these two events, and for letting He Who Watches be a part of them.

0.1.36 Brings some quality-of-life changes, and replaces a particularly frustrating level. Added ability to hold the undo button for subsequent presses. Added a new reset button to instantly reset to the beginning of the level. Replaced the timer level with a more interesting level near the end of the demo. Various minor bug fixes
- Public Demo Release for Steam's Puzzle Fest! - 20 April 2023
The demo for He Who Watches is now live! This demo is an early access sneak peek at what we're working on and includes the first 15 levels of the game. There are 12 main levels and 3 hidden bonus levels. Things are definitely subject to change, but this demo should provide a great introduction to the game and how it plays. I am so excited to finally get this in to your hands! If you've got any feedback please don't hesitate to leave it on the Steam Community discussions page. I hope you enjoy the demo!
