• December 4th Update - 4 December 2022

  Fixed a bug where the death xp screen and the post-credits logo wouldn't skip with Steam Input controllers. It's a PC-only update, pretty much useless for consoles.

• November 24 update - 24 November 2022

  Changelog: - Fixed a bug where the game would randomly not launch sometimes, mostly on Windows. This was caused by a bug in the Steamworks extension that we use. - Rebuilt the macOS version again hopefully this fixes it :| By the way, the "secret platform" we were mentioning in our release notes was the Xbox One. We're preparing an Xbox One release of the game, expect news shortly (hopefully).

• November 17 Update - 16 November 2022

  Changes: - Fixed a bug where you may start with -4 score in daily or weekly runs (this was an accident we swear) - Attempted to fix a bug where the floor might be blurry after "CHOOSE YOUR CURSE" screen (we are not sure why this happens, seems to happen more frequently on consoles, but we moved the fix to Steam as well) - Removed all attempts to uppercase the player name for the eastern font (foxlion intro) - Submitted this build (November 17 2022) for "???" to the "???" platform PS4 and Switch updates should come later this month, to keep the game on par with Windows/Linux/Deck/macOS/"???"

• November 16 Update - 16 November 2022

  Changes: - Always use "eastern" font for drawing player names. - Fix erroneous notification in daily runs about "ur beating all". - Slightly reposition "ur beating" notifications. This update will be live on consoles this month.

  Fixes a crash in Steam Input when trying to do a haptic effect.

• November 3 Update - 3 November 2022

  Changes: - Removed flags from the language selection menu. - Removed "NATIVE MOUSE" from settings, this only worked on 32-Bit Windows anyway, replaced with an option to enable free axes movement for the target crosshair in gamepad mode, enable this if you aim with a Steam Deck touchpad and the target will no longer be locked to a circle, it will be able to move freely inside it (and the radius is larger). - Upgraded the Steamworks extension to latest from YoYoGames. - Upgraded the Steamworks SDK to latest 1.55. - Upgraded to GameMaker 2022.9.1 runtime. - Rebuilt with latest Apple development tools (sorry about that, Apple forced our hand). This update actualizes Wally with builds Ver. 1.0.2 on Switch and Ver. 01.03 on PS4.

• 09 September Hotfix - 9 September 2022

  PC only update that fixes a bug with Steam Input where if there we no gamepads connected before running the game it wouldn't read inputs from any gamepads at all and you had to restart the game to make gamepads work. Thanks to Austin from Valve! And yes, Wally is real.

• 07 September Update - 7 September 2022

  A small update to bring everything in line with other platforms: - Fixed crashes in enable_joycon() for CO-OP. - Fixed a few Steam Input related quirks. - Fixed a possible video memory leak. - Force default to fullscreen 1280x720 on Steam Deck for compliance reasons. - Allow pausing in a few scenarios where it wasn't previously allowed. - Don't try to save the game on close now. (Steam will do this) - Added a new "Achievements" screen for folks who don't wish to use the overlay, you can track your progress there. Unlock pop-ups are still handled by Steam. - Some more weird fixes I can't remember. This update will be live on other platforms in a few weeks, we can't go any faster because of slow certifications there. Thank you for playing Wally and remember, Wally is real.

• A bugfix update for Wally! - 18 June 2022

  -Balance Changes Coco Mode and Wally+ Lowered Enemy Dragons from shooting 3 fireballs to one only You can now choose two upgrades instead of just one. Changelog: - Fixed co-op and Steam Input controller code. (sorry about that) - Fixed a few bugs that people mentioned on the Steam forums. (yes, we read the forums!) - We Fixed a bug that prevented you from using the hover boots to slow down on the spider webs - Fixed a Soft lock that occurred when beating a floor - Fixed online leaderboards code for platforms Wally is not out... yet 👀 A friendly reminder that if your friend does not have the game, you can show them the game via Steam Remote Play Together! It is 100% compatible with the game's co-op mode, just be sure your friend has a controller of some sort. This update is live for all OSes, not just Windows. PS: Updated the macOS client icon, should be high quality™ now.

  A new small update has been released on the current branch which fixes an audio related game crash when no savedata is present at all, we're really sorry about that.

• Native Linux and Steam Deck support! - 29 May 2022

  Hello, it's been a while huh. Wally and the FANTASTIC PREDATORS now has native Linux and Steam Deck support. Oh, also Steam Auto Cloud saves (set up to be cross-platform) and even Steam Input. These changes should allow for a smooth Steam Deck experience right out of the box, such as savedata syncing between your main machine and your Deck and also easy control rebinding. As for now, we don't have a "Steam Deck Verified" rating, but the Linux build has been tested to work on Ubuntu 64-Bit LTS releases. If anything, tell your Deck to run the default Linux build. To prevent any odd-looking behavior, the Linux version will always start in fullscreen if it's in Big Picture or Deck mode by default, even if you've synced savedata with your main machine.   I want to tell you something. It's 2018. I'm showing my Grandma the FOXLION thinking I'm some kind of big shot game developer. She smiles and tells me it looks nice. I'm so freaking happy. At the time my grandma had cancer. I didn't realize how bad it was, I probably would have used my time differently with her if I paid more attention to how bad she had it.
