Hi everybody! ːPhhelperː The Demo for Boby and the Witch is now available to download and play! ːPdogːThis was one of the first games I ever made, originally developed back in the mid '90s when I was around 10 years old (which probably makes it a true retro game by now).It was later included as a hidden game in Fjong, but it was never released on Steam as a standalone title. I thought it would be fun to finally release it as its own game.Most of the game has been left untouched, with all of its original flaws and jankiness still intact—for memory’s sake.The only real additions are Steam achievements and two unlockables for completing the game fast enough: the Speed Cap and the Jump Cape.The game is extremely short, free to play, and can be completed in one sitting (in under 5 minutes). Hi everybody! ːPhhelperː The Golden Fish is now live ːPfishː The Golden Fish is a spawn that will appear at level 5 or higher and has a base value of 100 coins for catching it. It will roughly spawn once every minute (though its spawn rate is also affected by your level, so at higher levels it can spawn much faster). Your garden expansions also determine how many can exist at the same time (like with regular fish). - New Teaser Trailer for No Life - 28 October 2024
Hi everybody! ːPhhelperː As stated in my previous post, No Life is still in development, perhaps too early to be shown properly, but I still wanted to put out a short teaser trailer with some small action from the game. You can now see the teaser on the No Life Steam store page! Currently, the teaser only shows one weapon (the pistol) and one zombie type (the normal slow one), but I actually have four weapons and about eight different zombie types in the game currently. However, I need to create proper graphics and polish them up before I can show them, which I hope to do in the next teaser. I am also working on the dog companion. ːPdogː I plan to have a playtest and then a demo for the game later on to gather feedback and ideas. Hi everybody! ːPhhelperː I don't have a regular "devblog" but I wanted to share some news on what I am working on next and also some notes on the future. I just recently updated the store page for my next game "No Life" which will be a survival roguelite with zombies and will be a departure in terms of being a bit (lot) more gruesome than my other games.. (though the zombies are still quite cute in their own way). You will also be able to have a dog companion in the game! ːPdogː Keep in mind that what is shown so far is still very early and unfinished but I wanted to put the page up to be able to gather wishlists during the development. Hi everybody! ːPhhelperː Another update is out! ːPduckː Among some tweaks and adjustments the most notable change is an update in the engine that should improve performance a bit for some people and especially where the game ran progressively slower over time as it was left open. There was some objects in previous builds (mainly golden acorns that could "fall off the stage" with enough velocity as they hit the ground at high speed and water drips left behind by fish on the ground) that did not get cleared out properly and made it so the total object count progressively increased as the minutes went by. Hi everybody! ːPhhelperː Another update is out! ːPduckː If you leave the game running without any input (including not moving the mouse) for 60 seconds the game will now enter a mode where it will slowly pan back and forth over your garden. The HUD will be hidden and some elements like numbers and save icons etc will also be hidden to make sure only the actual going ons in the garden will be displayed. Helpers and everyone and everything working and producing in the garden will continue to work and earn as normal though so the numbers and other things becoming hidden is only for visual effect. It will look a bit like in that bottom gif below (with the dolphin swimming). At any time you can press any button to return to normal play. Hi everybody! ːPhhelperː Another update is out! ːPduckː Among some tweaks and adjustments the most notable change is that the save reset mechanic has been reworked to make sure that no one can reset the save by mistake. Prior there was just a prompt in the options screen if you wanted to reset the game but now you have to confirm the reset of the save by holding down the button for 3 seconds.
