Latest Steam announcements

  • Version 1.1.5 (the mondsemmel update) - 7 August 2022

Big thanks to player mondsemmel for providing enough feedback to warrant making an update to Obversion. What was updated: The game now tries to automatically detect infinite deathloop and automatically undo when detected. Automove now moves 2.5x faster. Fixed typo in hint for level 2-4. Reworked yin yang solution for level 2-4. Slight change to automatic text sizing for pickups. Fixed placement of creation pickups in 3-6 and 4-7 so you can't get them early. Fixed bug where the level select UI appears after entering the menu in level. Minor change to the level 3-3 black cubes. Also I realized never gave a patch update for version 1.1.4 so here it is: Added sprint. Reworked automove to not take over jump button. Added controller dead zone.

  • Obversion's 1 Year Anniversary - 28 January 2021

In celebration of Obversion's 1 year anniversary, it's going on sale for 50% off! For a little celebratory feature I added a SPRINT button (but don't go trying to cheese all the puzzles, it only works on the ground). And while I was at it I fixed the silliness around not being able to Automove and jump at the same time.

  • Version 1.1.3 live - 20 November 2020

Added FOV slider to graphics menu. Adjust the placement of held creators and destructors depending on aspect ratio and FOV. Increased contrast for yin yang indicator behind levels. Fixed issue with the back button in the graphics menu. Fixed layout bug in graphics menu. Fixed bug with credits in final level. Now use more correct timing for procedural audio.

  • v1.1.2 now available - 2 October 2020

What's in this update? Keyrebinding! Move automove toggle from menu to a hotkey Resolution options Can use D-pad in menu Can use both D-pad and mouse wheel to change levels Added controller deadzone Fixed some cheesy solutions in level 3-1 Made ostinato lines (levels 4-7 of respective worlds) softer Bug fixes Sometimes coudln't move when entering level Had an issue with mouse appearing in submenus Mouse wouldn't always be able to click on UI element Some musical clips in world 1 were accidentally set to silence

  • Introducing AUTOMOVE - 12 May 2020

Automove is just the latest in a series of efforts to remove execution skill from Obversion (including other rarely seen in first-person game features such as unlimited undo). Now you can truly focus on the core puzzle solving experience. To celebrate AUTOMOVE Obversion is now 20% OFF. All the best, Adrian

  • Obversion is a slow, peaceful and satisfying first-person puzzler out now - 29 January 2020

Obversion from former-Google developer Adrian Marple is out now, I played through a bunch of it and found it delightful.
