• Janitor Salesman and Joystick Controls - 26 August 2020

  Updates: Added: Janitor Salesman in Arcade Mode Updated: Joystick Controls. JoyStick Controls I have tested Dave-Man extensively with a game pad, but it was a retro SNES-style gamepad. Therefore no joystick. Upon purchasing another controller with joysticks I realized the setup wasn't optimal. With the update there is now more "dead zone" to prevent accidentally taking a turn. I hope that helps but if anyone has any further feedback or specific issues I'd be happy to revise. I wanted to get this updated ASAP as though I'm not sure it is perfect I am confident it is much better than before.   This update was mainly behind the scenes. Restructured how data was stored to not only fix some issues with Achievements and such but also make the structure more future-proof if more is added. Fixed bug with Millennials Achievement Fixed bug with World Traveler (Globe) Achievement Fixed Soda Can Powerup not being tracked as collected, for Arcade Mode availability Record Player menu moved up to avoid going off screen when full Fixed bug that sometimes would give powerups back to you in Arcade Mode Fixed issue that prevented Ethel the Aardvark (the book added last update) from being marked as collected (for Achievement Purposes)

  v1.0.23 Release notes Added: Quest Item Notifications Popup. There are “quest items” that go straight into your inventory. Most players are not aware of these items as the only way to see them is to pause the game and open your inventory. Now a UI notification will appear to make it obvious. Added: WASD controls. Now players can use controller/gamepad, keyboard arrow, or keyboard WASD for controls. Customizable controls are still intended down the road. Removed: Mute key (M). • Game Launched - 16 July 2020

  Dave-Man has now officially been launched on Steam! (v1.0.1) It has been a long process but we are finally here! The game is launched! You can now play! Over the next week my top priority is taking care of any bugs that users report, or that I can find with the 1000th round of play testing. So please don't hesitate to reach out if you find anything odd or unusual! ...okay, the whole game is odd and unusual! But you know what I mean!   I decided to try something different - a kind of behind the scenes! In this video I show off a few new features which I implemented over the past few days.
