- An Update on Early Access - 10 March 2021
Since the first Alpha playtests, our vision for Six Temples has expanded. With your help during playtesting, we found some things that work really well and others that don’t. At this point, we know exactly what we want Six Temples to be: a magical Strategy game set in a massive open world filled with arcane structures and technology. Despite this, we are realistic with the fact that with our small team, it will take a considerable amount of time to bring the game to a playable state. While we were hopeful it would be done by now, the technical hurdles are substantial, and we are looking at a difficult roadmap to get to full release. Instead of releasing incomplete updates while working against these technical issues, we’ve come up with a better plan. Six Temples will be evolving into a NEW GAME with a new title and new identity, while Six Temples Early Access will be taken offline for n…
- Preview: Open World Update - 9 September 2020
JUST A PEEK We’ve been spending long days and nights inside Camel Cup Labs cooking up the next update for Six Temples, and we wanted to give you a preview of how things are shaping up. The Open Beta until now has focused on combat, but we hope you’re ready to take things to a whole new level! A BRAND NEW WORLD The next update’s main focus is bringing a sprawling new map to Six Temples. At over 400 sq. km, the world of Six Temples rivals the largest open worlds in scale, and it will be playable from end to end without any loading zones, boundaries, or artificial limits. We’re working hard to have a preview of the entire world, in all its beauty, ready for Early Access soon. CUSTOM CHARACTERS Also coming in the next update, the new character creator lets you customize your characters in any way you can imagine. From a dwarfish strongman to a slender princess, create the facial features, b…

- Update 0.6.6 - Release Notes - 6 May 2020

Expect significant new changes, improvements, and a good deal of new content in our next Major Update, slated for next week! COMBAT Improved Blocking mechanics: successful Blocks are physically blended and more accurately felt Reduced delays after blocking to allow faster return attacks Added penalty of 1.5x damage for being hit from behind Removed the possibility of blocking an attack from behind; AI players also can no longer block attacks from behind UI Added Voice icon over players' heads when Push to Talk is active BUG FIXES Weapon impacts on characters would sometimes play "metal" hit effects instead of normal FX Announcer voice would be clipped short at the conclusion of Online games Sounds played by Khwarizmi's attacks were not properly attenuated
- Update 0.6.5 - AI and Effects Improvements - 4 May 2020
EFFECTS IMPROVEMENTS We added a comprehensive new system to handle hit impact effects on various surface types, including flesh, armor, wood, sand, bone, and many more! For example, striking Skeleton Warriors now produces a cloud of bone dust, and a corresponding bone-crunching sound effect. The system also applies to footstep impacts with various surface types, producing highly satisfying dust clouds, splashes, and other effects as you traverse each map. Now that this system is in place, we plan to improve the look and feel of impacts throughout the game with custom particles and other effects. Expect much more in the next major update! In addition to the new impact effects, we've tweaked audio in other areas including UI and Hero sounds. AI IMPROVEMENTS As part of a future update coming in May, we updated the AI behavior logic for both AI players and mobs to address issues we noticed…
- Major Update 0.6.4 - New Faces, New Arena - 29 April 2020
NEW FACES You may have noticed a certain lack of female charm in the Six Temples cast of heroes. Well, that ends today as we proudly announce two new heroes! Entering the battle for the first time are: The Hunter - The cunning and beautiful Hunter brings the ancient art of archery to Six Temples. She has all the qualities you'd expect from an experienced hunter: she can set Traps and comes armed with Hunting Knives. Don't even think about trying to sneak up on her. Her ultimate moves equip her with Fire Arrows and Exploding Arrows that can take down even the most well-armored opponent. The Priestess - Rounding out the Hero roster (for now), the benevolent Priestess has a dedicated Healing Staff to fix all your boo-boo's, and her healing Ultimate Abilities help ensure her fellow teammates remain on their feet. NEW ARENA MAP We've added a new game mode featuring a smaller arena map, and i…

- Six Temples Releases Tomorrow On Early Access - 17 April 2020
TOMORROW IS THE BIG DAYTime sure flies, doesn't it? It feels like just yesterday when we decided to embark on a journey to develop a fun and unique multiplayer slasher. Well, tomorrow, April 17th, marks an impressive milestone as Six Temples officially launches on Steam Early Access. Mind you, this is not the end of said journey, in fact, this is like the beginning of an entire new one. Early access means what it says: Although Six Temples has come leaps and bounds from its humble beginnings, it is still very much a work-in-progress that will still need polish, more content, and bugs to be fixed. With that said, however, Six Temples should now be in a playable and fun enough state that all players can enjoy it for hours on end. EARLY ACCESS INFORMATIONThe early access game will launch with 8 playable heroes and 2 maps (Alkaazar for multiplayer and The Lookout as an offline training map)…

Update 6 is focused on technical improvements and bugs found during last weekend’s play test. Character skin shaders have been improved to add realism. Resolved a major shader issue that affected lighting of all Hero characters. The Barbarian’s sword has been updated to a cleaner look. - Private Beta - Update 5 is Live - 1 December 2019
Private Beta - Update 5 is now live on Private Beta servers, marking the beginning of Private Beta Wave 2! With this update we introduced multiple new elements, which we think significantly improve the flow and feel of the game. As always, we welcome your feedback through our Discord community and in-game Feedback Report. Directional Melee In Build 5 we made significant improvements to the combat system. In particular we added the ability to swing melee weapons in a given direction, along with the ability to direct Blocks toward a given direction. The melee weapon wielding Heroes (currently Barbarian and Mercenary) each have four directions they can attack: Left, Right, Overhead (Up), and Forward (Down). Using each of these attacks is as simple as moving the mouse in the corresponding direction while executing an Attack (or moving Right Stick on controller). Overview The new directional…
