  This developer diary will be mirrored on the Movie Maven Tycoon subreddit. Despite the chaos of the past few months our team is back hard at work and making great progress, especially in these past two weeks. Our first beta build will focus on balancing some of the core mechanics of Movie Maven. We are pushing hard to include an assignments tab framework in this build, but Franchising, Save Game, some newer art/transitions, and the tutorial will not be in this initial offering.   This developer diary will be mirrored on the Movie Maven Tycoon subreddit. While there are a lot of features and moving parts of Movie Mave: A Tycoon Game, the most fundamental are your employees. In this dev diary we are going to talk about Actors, Directors, and Staff members, all of which are represented differently in throughout the game. Actors A huge part of the game is centered around auditioning, cultivating, and specializing a roster of actors. Actors come in two flavors, those you hire who owe their loyalty to your studio, and those you hire for one off productions. After a successful audition you will be given a choice of actors you would like to hire. The more money you spend on the audition process the better chance of attracting actors with higher initial experience.   This developer diary will be mirrored on the Movie Maven Tycoon subreddit. Movie Maven: A Tycoon Game has been under active development for close to a year and a half. It is a passion project from a small group of coders and artists who have turned this endeavor into a labor of love. The idea of a detailed management game for a movie studio is not new, and the landscape is littered with failed projects and aborted ideas. We wanted to create a project that was both fun and realistic in scope.
