- Devlog #4: Storage full of secrets - 26 February 2021
Dear Urban Explorers! Today we’d like to give you a little update about our development progress. As you may already know from our previous DevLog #3, in the last few months we were focused on creating a new location and polishing parkour mechanics of our game. If you’re not familiar with the details, make sure to read the previous DevLog. You can see some screenshots of the new location there! We have recently shifted our focus to buildings available in the new Abandoned Silo location. To be more precise, we’re now working on interiors you’ll be able to explore. You’ll need to rely on your parkour skills to get to them, as in some cases it’s going to be a great challenge! What kind of areas can you expect to see? > Building complex of Abandoned Silo > Workshop > Storehouse > Office building > Tower > Security building > Open area littered with containers You can see some of these areas…
- Devlog #3: Urbex Location #1 - 27 January 2021
Dear Urbex Fans! As promised, we have a sneak peek of one of the locations that will be available in Urban Explorer! Our team is working hard on the Abandoned Silo location. We’ve collected lots of reference photos and videos and based on them, we’re designing the level and doing our best to make it as exciting and challenging as possible! Keep in mind that this is not the final name of this location, and new development screenshots don’t represent the final look of the location and the game. We’re still working on post-processing, buildings and other improvements. As the name of the location suggests, there you will be able to explore the abandoned silo with many secret rooms to discover. Getting there might be a little challenging, you will have to use your parkour skills... but watch out! You may bump into someone, who won’t be happy about your visit there… We will soon test the park…
- Devlog #2: Parkour Mechanics #2 - 16 December 2020
Dear Urbex Fans! Welcome to the next development update! This month we are busy working on locations that you will visit in Urban Explorer. We also continue working on parkour mechanics and testing them in the pre-alpha build. We're doing our best to make our parkour mechanics as good as possible. Currently, we're mainly testing and improving jumping, climbing, wall-running, etc. https://i.imgur.com/4f8qrvN.gif Perfecting parkour mechanics is crucial because you'll often have to use your parkour abilities to avoid security or areas that, at first glance, seem inaccessible. https://i.imgur.com/BnzWimz.gif Additionally, we're doing research and collecting reference photos and videos of various impressive abandoned buildings, secret facilities, catacombs, etc. As we mentioned on our Social Media channels while working on new locations, we're looking for some inspiration! Don't hesitate to…
- Devlog #1: Parkour Mechanics #1 - 13 November 2020
Dear Urbex Fans! Welcome to our first Urban Explorer devlog! We are happy to inform you that we’ll be posting development updates every month to share with you information about the current progress and some sneak peeks of new locations and gameplay mechanics! Recently, we’ve been working on parkour mechanics, such as running, jumping, sliding and wall-running. We’ve prepared a pre-alpha build to test these mechanics and player movement. Below you can take a look at gifs showing jumping and sliding. https://i.imgur.com/wof11tt.gif https://i.imgur.com/tN3sozp.gif Keep in mind that the game is still in development, and gifs shown above were recorded in pre-alpha build, and they don’t reflect the final version of the game. We’re also working on several locations separately. Once we’re satisfied with the mechanics and the player movement, we will prepare another build with the testing locat…

- Urban Explorer trailer promises spooky parkour climbtimes - 12 July 2019
Having seen exactly one million first person horror games, exploring old ruins that aren’t the same grey mansion and/or mental hospital sounds like a blessed relief, so a sudden trailer for Urban Explorer caught my eye despite its tragic choice of music. According to its own Steam page , “Urban Explorer is a first person perspective exploration game with parkour mechanics and horror elements. Explore abandoned buildings, top secret facilities and catacombs, as well as places still in use, such as engine rooms, elevator shafts and abandoned building floors.” Check out the trailer below.
