• Tailypo: The Game Will Soon be Free-to-Play - 26 February 2023

  Hello! Tailypo: The Game was released a few years back, and unfortunately, it has some bugs. Namely, performance issues. This is my first game, and I made it mostly by myself, so I couldn't commit the time and resources to hash out these issues. I have two children, a normal job, and at the time, some health issues. Additionally, I've become a single father since releasing the game, so my time is limited. I put my heart into this game and learned a lot along the way, so it means a lot to me regardless of the perception of unfinished bugs and other issues. I hope you can see where and why I put my time and attention into this. As a result, I'm now (March 2023) making the game free-to-play, so anyone who wants to play it can do so. I recommend high-end graphics cards to handle the winter scenes as they were originally built (and I will adjust the system requirements, so players know what…

• Tailypo: Major Update! - 30 January 2020

  Major update for January 30th, 2020: - Made the intro scene in the game much brighter so players aren't easily disoriented. - While we understand the desire to see a game menu immediately, we designed the game to feel like a film and don't intend to allow players to access the menu until after the intro crawl has displayed upon first play. This may not be ideal for new players who want quick access to a menu, but we promise, the menu is there and fully functional. Just find the cabin! Follow the smoke! ;) - Improved game mechanics. - Significantly improved performance. - Improved visuals. - Made shadows less expensive. - Added foliage to winter environment. - Rebuilt lighting on all maps. We had some significant issues with our lighting builds, and still do, but we've rebuilt lighting across the game as much as possible for the time being. • Tailypo Removal - 25 September 2019

  Unfortunately, after giving it much thought, we've decided to remove Tailypo from the Steam store. We've received more reviews than activations, which we believe is not fair to us or the community, and users have reported bugs in the release which are difficult to replicate with limited resources. Rather than properly supporting a title which is not financially viable to us, we've decided to remove the game from the store. For those who believe the product is overpriced, we don't feel it would be right to sell the game at a steep discount if we are not properly supporting the title. We've had a large number of wish-list requests, but we don't feel we will be able to satisfy the expectations of the community with the product in its current form.

  We've made some significant updates due to our first user review and other feedback we've received with more updates planned for the future. Here is some of what we've done: - The price has been lowered to $24.99, this will be the only price adjustment for the foreseeable future. - The "outdoor" part of the game has been revised significantly. - Dialogues have been shortened and the delay was reduced to speed up interaction mechanics. - The winter environment visuals have been improved with more planned for a future update. - Added more enemies. - Added more huntable animals. - Added VFX while hunting. - Gave the player gun access earlier in the outdoor part. - More animal permanence. - Improved performance.
