  • Traverse The Void Demo 2 is now available! - 1 December 2020

Second demo of the game is now live. Below is a list of additions and fixes. As always, I am very appreciative of feedback. Paths: You can now draw paths (for now only strait lines). An agent attached to the path will move along it. Player movement updates: players movement is faster, with some improvements to grab detection. Info Spheres in levels: Yo can now add text in levels using info spheres. Added 4 new levels Save migrations. As I will undoubtedly break old saves quite a lot early on, the game detects an older save and will migrate the fil…

So I built a second prototype, taking the code for procedural terrain generation and turned it into a simple level editor. This proved interesting, so for the past six or so months I have been expanding the level editor and terrain system, while I work on the player locomotion and mechanics for the game. How I am developing Traverse the Void The reason I am explaining the origins of the game is explain why I am approaching development the way that…
