- The AI Games Has Gone Free Forever - 2 June 2022
It is official "The AI Games" is going free forever This game was never meant as a major commercial product, it was my learning game. I needed to learn about steam works and its systems. How to use achieves, leader boards, and other steam features. It only had a price tag so I could learn about pricing, discounts, and sales events. I am pleased to say after 2 years of hard work, my first major scale commercial game is now releasing on June / 03 / 2022 Please consider checking out my new and amazing game called "Game Dev Masters", a modern tycoon game with a focus on player choice, depth, logic, and competitive play. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1478350/Game_Dev_Masters/ There is a free demo available. Wish list or purchase to show your support. Thank you Al though this game "The AI Games" was a learning project, and never meant to make any money. It is a fun and quirky 3-6 hour pl…
- Update 2.1 - 24 September 2019
Just a quick fix to the previous 2.0 update. - If you restart from checkpoint during the tutorial you are moved to level 1. This has been changed to re-spawn you at the start of the tutorial I also added a objective tracker that stays on screen during the tutorial, that will update each time you reach the next section. This should handle anyone who didn't read an instruction or just forgets what to do, I got you covered now..
- Major Update 2.0 - 21 September 2019
First major Update 2.0 is Live. This updates brings a variety of fixes, additions, and major reworks. Based on feedback I have received this far from some amazing players. - New User options including a mouse sensitivity slider - A Total rework to the tutorial. The old text wall of buttons / mechanics / skills has been replaced with an interactive tutorial that engages the player, and forces them to use mechanics and skills to make there way through the tutorial. It was to easy for Players to start the first level and not have retained everything thrown at them in the text wall tutorial, this should no longer be the case and players should now be more ready to take on World 1 after the tutorial. Also added a skip for the opening story setup, if anyone who has played through the game wants to start a new game to see the new tutorial you can skip the opening cut scenes by pressing pause m…
- Update 1.9 - 17 September 2019
Added new art assets to match the new library beta steam just launched.
- Update 1.8 - 2 September 2019
Updated some graphic fixes such as the client image and library icons. We now have a nice visible icon for every store / library option. They are still just the black and white text version but I hope to one day upgrade to some more visually pleasant images. Currently working on the first major update I am calling 2.0 This update will feature -additional user options and settings -revamped inventory UI systems -some QOL changes -completely new tutorial section featuring an interactive experience that will better prepare the player for world 1 -Another pass at spelling / grammar (one day if I have the money I would love to have a professional proof reading done, instead of just using spell checks and grammar check applications that are great but not perfect.) -few color changes for worlds and enemies in some areas where they can be hard to see from the contrast of the 2 This first major…
- Update 1.7 - 25 August 2019
-Fixed a bug that could prevent completion on world 6. Big thank you to AZAZ3AL for finding and reporting this bug, I believe I have implemented a solution so this wont occur for anyone else. There are many things I can not do as a small indie dev, but I can listen to feedback and reports and give them my highest priority and full dedication to ensuring the user experience is clean and smooth start to finish.
- Update 1.6 - 24 August 2019
Just Pushed a new build live... Based on player feedback - Back section of world 4 is very punishing for fails.. I want to keep the difficulty because I feel its balanced and fun but I don't want to frustrate players on fails. So the compromise I have come up with is now if you fall in the final sections past the elevator, Instead of falling to the beginning of the level you will be ported back to the top of the elevator and only need to re-complete the final 2 challenges.. I'm thinking this checkpoint will be disabled on hard difficulty but I am open to feedback. - Tweaked some attenuation settings and sound mix class modifiers for boss level 2, world 3 and world 6. -Modified the amount of mobs in a few sections to reduce difficulty, please let me know how the levels flow now with this reduction.
- Update 1.5 - 21 August 2019
-Fixed a few clipping issues in world 5 -Increased the forgiveness for the jump-pads in world 2 based on feedback -Fixed a few small bugs with Ai in world 4 -Few minor polish added in a few areas Work will continue on polish / steam features as well as any newly reported bugs will take priority
- We Are Live - 20 August 2019
The Ai Games has just launched, a huge thank you to everyone for helping me get to this point. To anyone who decides to support my development dreams thank you so much, and please if you have any issues report them in the steam page I will fix it asap. Please give me some feedback and suggestions as well to help push further development in the right direction. I have implemented steam achieves to a beta build, its working but has caused some other issues. I don't want to push it live until its in a better place but all achieves will be based off your save file so you wont need to re-do anything to receive the newly added achieves. If you do encounter any isolated bugs please restart from checkpoint in the pause menu, this should temporarily fix most issues and I will fully remove any reported issues as soon as I see them. Please have fun and go serve your creator well in the games..
- Update 1.2 - 16 August 2019
After a good helping of tests, Ive implemented a number of fixes as well as changed a few things based on player feedback to create a better feeling experience overall. Huge thank you to all my testers I'm now feeling confident the game will run well at launch for all types of players / systems. I haven't implemented steam achieves yet but that's next on the table provided there are no issues that arise from continued testing / support.
- Update 1.1 - 6 August 2019
Fixed Several lighting issues Sound Issues Implementation of steam achieves / trading cards started but not fully functional yet hopefully for release.
