Dear Topians, We want to start by saying thank you—truly—for being part of the Hometopia journey. Your creativity and support have meant the world to our small team. After an incredible run, we’ve made the very difficult decision to end active development and live operations for Hometopia. While we had bigger dreams for it, funding constraints mean this is the final version. Our team is no longer able to support updates, bug fixes, or new features. That said, Hometopia will remain live and fully playable for anyone who owns it—and starting April 2, we’re offering it at a legacy discount of $8.99 so even more players can experience what the community helped build. This is our way of preserving the game and giving fans a chance to enjoy it on their own terms. Happy Holidays, everyone! Update 8.2 is here and brings many fixes and improvements: On-screen control hints have now been implemented. They can be hidden in the settings menu. It’s Halloweentown here in Hometopia! The Haunted House Top Builder’s challenge was a (pumpkin) smashing success. Topians designed some seriously spooky haunted houses that did not disappoint. Let’s take a look at the winning designs and give it up for the five winners 👻 🏆 👏 How CREATIVE is our community? This winner used pillows as headstones and created a graveyard! This is truly an estate of a build, with a spooky maze you have to find your way through first! What's going on in that window upstairs?! We're obsessed with this gnome seance - what are they conjuring over there?? The lighting in this is so spooky... the haze and mist really sets the scene! BOO! It’s spoooooky season. You know what that means? It’s time to see what a Haunted Hometopia looks like. This Hometopia’s Top Builders challenge is guaranteed to be ghostly. It’s your time to design the spookiest, most haunted house imaginable, combining eerie atmosphere, spooky decor, and clever architectural tricks to create a true haunted masterpiece. We want to see houses that feel like they’re straight out of a Halloween horror story. Multiple winners will be selected based on the following criteria: Scare Factor Creativity Attention to Detail …and of course, we need to see some clever placement of grim and ghoulish gnomes!
