- Public Beta Now Available - 6 September 2023
Hey everyone! We've just started a public beta branch which we're using to test out some new experimental features. Our most recent feature additions include arm control inversion and player-space arm movement! These are features which we know have been highly sought after by quite a few players, so we're pleased to finally begin work on them. To join the beta branch, open the Properties window of Heavenly Bodies in your Steam library, go to Betas, then enter heavenlybetabranch into the Private Betas field. You can then select the public-beta branch in the Beta Participation dropdown in the same window. The new features are experimental, and of course won't be perfect, so we welcome your feedback! Either join our Discord or post your feedback in this thread. Excited to hear what you think!

- Cleanup DLC is out now! - 26 July 2023
Hi all! Alex and Josh here, the devs on Heavenly Bodies. We hope you’ve had a great week since we announced the release date for Cleanup. Speaking of which… it’s out now! After a year of working hard on this content, we’re so excited to put it out into the world. But what can you expect from this DLC? Here’s a list of some of the things you can look forward to: A brand new, expansive semi-open level split across 7 days A new Piloted Manoeuvring Unit (PMU) Vehicle New tools and gadgets New challenging gameplay mechanics …and more! Cleanup is around 3 to 5 hours long – as long as the base game! We’ve intended for this DLC to basically be a mini-sequel to the original game, as our goal was to successfully expand on what’s enjoyable about the game at its core. While we’re very familiar working with the systems, mechanics, and visual language we’ve designed up until this point, it’s still be…

Hey everyone! Alex and Josh here, the devs on Heavenly Bodies. We hope you’ve been well since the last time we made an update on here :) We have an exciting one today for all of you. Remember when we said about a year ago that we were working on more content? We’re so happy to finally reveal what that content is – our DLC, Cleanup, coming on July 26th! We’ve been working hard on this DLC for a good while now. It’s given us an opportunity to prototype and implement mechanics we’d always wanted to make but didn’t find a home in the original game. The DLC has also given us a chance to develop a larger scale level and change up how the new gameplay is structured. Expect a brand new, huge semi-open level split across 7 days; a new Piloted Manoeuvring Unit (PMU) Vehicle; new tools and gadgets including magnetic attractors, drills, and more; and new challenging gameplay mechanics! A large chal…

- End of Year Check-in - 23 December 2022
Hey everyone! As things wrap up for the year we wanted to take a quick moment to give you a little update with how things are developing with the new content. This is just a small check-in, but we hope it comes as reassurance that things are still moving along confidently! While it’s been a slightly slow year for development, we’re happy to say that the end is finally nearing sight. The new gameplay is fun, solid, and we’ll be proud to show you what we’ve created. But what does this actually mean? What’s in store? Well, while things are still subject to change and we’re not safely able to do any sort of grand reveal, we do have some fun new gadgets to show that we’ve shown prototypes for in our Discord. Behold: The Manned Manoeuvering Unit (MMU) https://media.giphy.com/media/LzScyy4i6MGHzUfjzt/giphy.gif This mean, glorified jetpack of a machine gives you improved mobility when performin…

- PS Plus November leaks claim Nioh 2, LEGO Harry Potter, and Heavenly Bodies are next month's featured games - 25 October 2022
The PS Plus November games for November have been leaked again on Dealabs, with the leaker claiming that Nioh 2 , Heavenly Bodies , and the LEGO Harry Potter collection taking the stage as the month’s free games. Dealabs and leaker Billbil Kun have a history of accuracy on PS+ lineups, but changes and incorrect claims have been known to come up in the past, so take the following information with a grain of salt. Nioh 2 is the clear star of the line-up (sorry LEGO fans), as a excellent and deadly difficult action game from Team Ninja. A chasm of quality apart from its decent predecessor, Nioh 2 offers a trek across demon-infested Japan as you fend off all manner of impressive and daunting enemies. It’s a must play if you haven’t touched it, and is more than a souls-like as some detractors claim. Read more
- New Content Coming for Heavenly Bodies - 20 May 2022
Hey everyone! Alex and Josh here, the devs on Heavenly Bodies. I hope you’re all travelling safe and well. First and foremost, we want to give our biggest, most sincere thanks to everyone who has given Heavenly Bodies a play. It’s hard to express just how magical it feels for us to see so many people enjoying (or, even better, absolutely despising) their time in space. Heavenly Bodies took a monumental amount of time and energy for our tiny team to develop over the last few years, so to see it well received makes it truly worthwhile. Thank you. We’ve needed a good rest to get our heads screwed back on, so we admit it’s been a pretty quiet start to the year and we thank you for your patience! Today, however, we’re pleased to announce that we’re rested up and, guess what? We’re starting the process of designing more content. Yep, additional Heavenly Bodies gameplay is on the way! We do ha…

If you continue to experience any issues, please don't hesitate to post in the forums or contact us directly via [email protected]. We're just a 2 person team, so having your help in squashing these hard-to-find bugs means so much to us. Happy floating!
- Update Notes For March 1 - 1 March 2022
Hey everyone! We hope you're all enjoying Heavenly Bodies! We've been taking a little break from things to rest our heads, but we're starting up with fixes again now. Thank you to everyone who has reported their issues. We just have a couple of fixes today: Added support for DualSense controller on Windows and Mac platforms (including M1). Fixed issue where unsupported devices could cause the game to close as soon as the title screen became visible. We are still actively working to add support for additional devices, but it's unfortunately a slow process which we too are frustrated by! With this, we thank you so much for your patience. If you can't get your controllers to work, please reach out to us at [email protected] - we make it our duty to help you out. ☆ Thanks for playing! ☆
