The Update That Upgrades Speedruns1000 Deaths’ latest update, Global Leaderboards, means that you can compete for the highest score on an Arcade level on a global scale! Your best time for each level will be uploaded to the Global Leaderboard. Even the high scores you logged before this feature was launched gets uploaded to the Global Leaderboard when you launch the game. Can’t See Your Scores Yet?Your game details need to be public for your scores to show up on the Global Leaderboard. What is the Coffee Boost?In the exploration segments of 1000 Deaths, you may have noticed the Coffee Cups that you can collect if you approach. What these cups do is give you a boost so that you can quickly run through exploration segments.The Coffee Cup Collectible can be found in several locations in the game, with the first one in Nowherestown. Use it to speedrun through exploration segments when you are doing a full game speedrun. How did we create it?Interestingly, this collectible was not a feature we had planned on. During development, one of the developers realized that she had to run the same route hundreds of times to check the game. To speed things up, she added a sprint feature that made the characters run comically fast.
