• New demo for gamescom 2026! - 25 August 2026

  We're showing We Stay Behind at gamescom again this year, and we finally built a new demo for it. Our last demo here on Steam was two years old and it was really time for an update. The new version is available to all of you right now. THE NEW DEMOThe new demo is the current state of the project. Performance is a lot better, and the settings let you adjust things to your hardware. The interface is much improved: we built a journal and an overview of the notes Laura can find in the game, and both of those are in the demo now. Even though the demo covers the same stretch of the game, it should feel a lot better - and there's the odd little thing more to discover. • Brand new story trailer and updated demo with voice over - 21 June 2024

  Check out our new Story Trailer and play the demo with voice over! Hey everyone! We are happy to share some great news with you today. We Stay Behind is part of the Games Baked in Germany Steam event running this week. We created a brand-new trailer with voice acting, that premiered during the event showcase yesterday. We're really happy with our voice actors and how the trailer turned out and are excited to be able to share it with you! Check out our Demo with english voice over! But not only does our trailer feature actual dialogue from the game - our demo is now fully voiced in English as well, so that you can finally get an impression of how the voice acting changes the feeling and immersion of the game. • We Stay Behind funded on Kickstarter! - 28 August 2023

  We Stay Behind just reached its base funding goal on Kickstarter! We're incredibly thankful that our backers trust us and support our project! The hunt for stretch goals has just started, and you can help us get there. The game is in the final stages of development, but additional funding helps add more content and allows us to include you and your ideas. If we hit our first Stretch Goal of 29,000€, we will add the Hiking DLC. With that DLC, we will add beautiful hiking trails to the game. You explore the national park with a hiking map, wander around stunning trails through nature, and find beautiful, relaxing places to take a break and rest.   We Stay Behind goes Kickstarter Hey Everyone, We just launched our first crowdfunding campaign: We Stay Behind is coming to Kickstarter today. The campaign aims to meet a goal of 25,000 € to fuel that final development phase - to make We Stay Behind the most enjoyable experience possible. Come check out the campaign! We've been able to finance the development of We Stay Behind so far through public funding and the success of our first game, Unforeseen Incidents. Our publisher helps us with QA, localization, and voice recordings. We're grateful for this support and the opportunity to bring this game to life. But we still have much more we want to achieve, and we believe involving you as a community will help us improve the game. • Explore a doomed health retreat in upcoming Resort - 18 August 2019

  One great pleasure that you may not all be familiar with is interviewing people who are passionate about whatever it is you re speaking to them about. You may be able to get something of a sense of it from Resort , which follows protagonist Laura Tanner as she speaks to the people staying there. Although the fact that it is about to get destroyed by a comet and its inhabitants are so passionate about the place that they refuse to leave may put a dampener on the whole affair.
