  Well, hello strangers! Long time no see.It has been YEARS since I last took a look at the demo, as I have been busy with Chapter I. But I figured, since Early Access is getting closer and closer, this would be a good time to build a new demo for you. And here it is!What's changed?If you played the old demo, you’ll still recognise the story once you get further in. The story hasn't changed much, but new there is a new addition: a brand-new prologue.Previously, the game more or less greeted you by throwing a pile of controls and game mechanics at your face and hoping you’d figure it all out.   We are excited to announce that we are planning to release Behind the Beyond in Early Access this year! We bet you have lots of questions about that, so here are some of the most important details. What is Early Access? Early Access is a Steam feature that lets developers release their games before development is fully finished. Once we enter Early Access, the game will be available for anyone to buy and play immediately, while we continue developing the game. Will I have to buy the full game too when it leaves Early Access? No. If you buy the game in Early Access, you are buying the full game. But unlike with a pre-purchase, you don't have to wait until the game is fully released to actually play it.   Thanks to our keen language experts, we are proud to announce that the Behind the Beyond demo now comes with German, Spanish and Russian subtitles! We can also confirm that the full game will have Hungarian voice over too! It is not available for the demo yet.

• New gameplay options added - 5 December 2021

  Based on player feedback we have added a short text near the cursor to show players what they are pointing at. We have also added a new feature which we named Streamer Mode. If you turn this mode on, you allow other players to join your game using a unique 4-letter code and to assist you by highlighting things (objects or conversation options) on your screen. These functions can be turned on or off under Options -> Gameplay from both the main menu and the pause menu.
