• 1.14 Patch Notes - 10 June 2024

  Version 1.14 Bug Fixes: - Fixed bug causing match results menus to be able to be closed. - Fixed bug causing shop tabs to stack on each other with a certain series of inputs. - Fixed bug causing shop code entry to not open when using a controller.

• 1.13 Hotfix - 8 May 2024

  Bug Fixes: - Fixed bug causing plasmas to revert to normal hamsters when caught online. - Fixed bug causing 2nd player controls to be defaulted to keyboard. If bug is still occurring, use the 'Restore Defaults' button in the options menu for Player 2. Which should resolve the issue. - Fixed an issue where remapping left/right controls did not remap aiming controls.

  Version 1.12 New Features: - Emotes can now be used while in the game end animation. - New emotes have been added to the shop. - New plates have been added to the shop. Bug Fixes: - Fixed bug causing fonts to not properly update when changing languages. - Fixed bug causing random map select to not always select an unlocked stage. - Hopefully fixed bug causing players to get stuck at the continue screen of online matches. - Fixed bug causing players to not have a selector assigned when entering online character select. - Fixed bug causing a state in which lines cannot be added to a board while playing online. - Fixed a bug causing balls to have their sprites disabled despite being attached to the board.

  Version 1.11 Board Editor Bug Fixes: - Putting invalid characters into the hamster spawn pattern field will no longer break hamster spawning. - Repeatedly trying to place a ball in a full node will no longer cause lag. - Removed right click to create balls as it cause various issues. - Testing a level created by another player without editing it will no longer cause the author to change. - File names now replaces spaces with underscores so file sharing over things like Discord won't mess up the file names. Other Bug Fixes: - Fixed some missing localization strings. - Fixed a bug causing some clear stages to be failed prematurely. - Fixed bug causing players to slide during game over sequence.

  Greetings, Hamsters Everywhere. 🐹 The much-awaited Board Editor update is here! Finally you can create and share your own Clear and Puzzle stages! We can't wait to see all the creative stage ideas the Hamster Scramble community comes up with. Let's take a look at all the changes in this update: New Features ⚙️ Board Editor 1.0! Access via the pause menu in the Hamster Village. Create your own Clear and Puzzle stages to play and share with your friends! This initial version does not have online sharing implemented yet, so stage files must be shared manually. There is no controller support yet, so please use Keyboard & Mouse. It's possible to plasma-fy special hamster balls, but there are no proper sprites so it will look bugged. So many of you have shared your gameplay experience with us, and this has helped us understand what’s working, what needs improvement, and what you’d like to see more of… Thank you all for sharing with us! One of the topics of discussion was surrounding the online versus mode. With your feedback, our patch 1.06 has made some changes that we hope will make the Online versus mode and the game more accommodating. Without any further ado, let's dive right in: New Features ⚙️ Spectator mode! Private lobbies now support up to 8 players, with 2-4 player slots and 4-6 spectator slots.   Version 1.03 Visual Changes: - Updated UI elements for Chapter 4 in the story map. - Added missing UI for Laboratory and Crash Site survival modes. Other changes - You can now aim with the D-pad on controllers. Bug Fixes - Fixed bug causing only 1 AI player to spawn when 2 should in story stages. - Survival mode stages in the story now properly consider the survival time for stage completion. - Survival mode story stages will now properly reward sunflower ranks. - Clear stages will no longer reset the timer when retrying from the current board. - Fixed bug preventing characters from being properly unlocked when purchased from the shop. - Fixed bug preventing certain steam achievements from triggering. - Fixed several bugs affecting the Jukebox menu's ability to play tracks properly. - Fixed bug that caused the game mode state to not be set properly when playing online ranked.

• Post Release Hotfix Patch 1.02 - 10 November 2023

  Our community hamsters have been hard at work playing the game and finding bugs! So here's a quick hotfix for the most pressing issues that were found: Visual Changes: Updated UI elements for Chapter 4 in the story map. Bug Fixes Scores will now reset when replaying versus matches. Adjusted stage collisions to prevent clipping through stages when swapping. Hamsters will now respawn back into the stage if dropped below the Airship stage. Fixed some missing localization data. Fixed some bugs in the shop's data files. Fixed some leftover UI elements from the demo. Fixed some bugs preventing some shop items to not properly unlock, or to unlock too early. Fixed bug causing some achievements to not trigger properly. Adjusted collisions in Sun City stage so hamsters will not get stuck under the stage.

  The first stream stopped working, and you are required to have an event going to have the stream show up on the store page. So we are trying again. Streaming the game on the steam page to give a good first impression! Mostly will be AI battles. Dev may jump on occasional for playing with community members.

We are launching our first community event where you can show off your skills, compete with other players, and win amazing prizes.
