• Great improvements coming to next update ! - 25 January 2021

  We have been doing some work on the game as we wanted to bring some improvements ! * the new engine, and improvements to clutch and tire physics should bring a new and exciting slides * the car list has changed. We have added some more exciting cars * we are also working on a couple more free drift areas * Online Multiplayer mode will most likely come in v1.8.0 in case we wont manage to implement it in v1.7.0

• Drift in Freeroam mode - 4 July 2020

  In update 1.6 a free roam mode is added. There is one area initially including a set of 15 small sub events/challenges. Complete all events and get rewarded. Raise level and unlock cars !

• Adding Free Roam mode in next update ! - 12 May 2020

  In next update Free Roam mode should be added ! Some notes: * This will be a mode where you drift in some area and complete stunts and play free roam events. When you complete the requirements, the free roam area will be considered completed and players will be rewarded. * In this upcoming update, buying and upgrading vehicles may get back into the game in order for the free roam mode plus earning XP point and credits to make some sense ! * The free roam is designed in a way where there might be added more areas with game updates instead of creating one big open world area ! Areas will however be not that small ! Cheers !

• Some great improvements are coming ! - 29 April 2020

  Hi, just to share a couple of things: * a new more accurate engine model has been implemented * also working on differential implementations like Limited Slip and Locking diffs which also improves the engine torque distribution on both left and right wheels for drifting * A couple of camera settings should be added as well that will allow players to control how much camera lags behind the vehicle for example. * Also a new setting will be added that can affect the vehicle response to forces, for example it can be set so it reacts really quickly or a bit slower which is more realistic What else might also get into next update is: * ackerman, toe, caster settings for the steering * A drift helper may be introduced in some way * A new open area level may get into next update as well That's for now ! • Update v1.5.0 - 20 April 2020

  JDI v1.5.0 is here with a few fixes and optimizations IMPROVED : * Cars are a bit more responsive and easier to control * Exhaust audio and visuals are improved * New tire texture * Challenges target scores are lowered FIXED : * Tire side slip values are a bit mode accurate now * Brake lights were not working due to shader change * Normal maps on tire rims were not visible * Some leaderboards were not updated * Current player position in leaderboard was not loaded on challenge complete * Minimap on Main Track level was not visible * Music and Ambient audio sliders couldn't be changed using mouse * Some more internal fixes and improvements

  JDI is officially released now with v1.4.0 Added: 5 more cars - total of 12 unlocked cars to choose from New Tire Model for better physics Simple career mode The track from career season 2 is available in challenges Added minimaps Better steer assists for high speed and counter steer for nicer drifting

• V1.3.0 unlocked levels and upgraded cars - 26 January 2020

  Hey dear drifters, the third update is released. Here is what's been done: WHAT'S NEW AND CHANGED Overall game refactoring All cars are now fully upgraded and drift ready All levels are now initially unlocked High speed steer assistance is added. An option in available in settings A gas cutout option has been added to the settings. Disable if you don't like how the engine cuts the gas Car reset option is added. Initially binded to "R" key A replay system is implemented. All events which are based on tracks can play reviewed by the replay system A ghost system is implemented as well. It will record your best performance based on scoring and next time when you play the same level, the ghost car will be visible as well. An option for toggling ghost car is available in setting Also, levels are refactored and re-grouped by regions. Some are removed and one new level is added "Downhill Slide"…

• New rims, vs. Ghost drifting and optimized drifting should come in update 3 ! - 16 December 2019

  Hi, here is what i am working on for Update 3 : 1. Being able to buy and swap rims for all cars 2. Recording and playing vs Ghost car based on player's best drift ( highest score ) per track based levels 3. The drifting is further optimized and should be even easier and nicer to control

• JDI update 2 is now live ! - 9 November 2019

  The second update of JDI is now live ! New * Painting car parts - car body, rims, rims spokes and calipers * New nicer default color combinations for all cars * New and better in game cameras plus camera manager - use key "B" to toggle menu in game * Audio player key bind is added. Use now key "M" on keyboard to open player in game * New level based on completing laps, based on Challenge 5 is added * Added rear wings to second and third vehicle Improved * Auto counter steer helper is improved and now recommended to enable, for nicer drifts * First car upgrades required level is lowered, to let players upgrade it quickly * Screen space reflection option in game settings in now enabled. Use to toggle on/off SSR

  Hi to all. The first update of JDI is here. This is what's new and improved: New: In game audio player to play local mp3 and wav files located on HDD ( check in game info ) Car upgrades Two more cars added New challenge ( more to come later ) Turbo sound and exhaust effects Choose KM/h or MP/h from the settings Improved/Fixed: Automatic gearing is now set as default Car slide at zero speed in forward direction is fully eliminated ( still side slides a little ) UI improvements Leaderboard window can show top 20, entries around player and friends list Tune sliders have been improved and some tune info has been added Player level has been increased to 30 Spawning sparkles from scratching New Speedometer design New loading screen Fixed audio glitches in menus
