On Tuesday, September 15 at 10am ET, Fallout 76 will be undergoing maintenance on all platforms to deploy The Slasher update.For this update we are executing a repackaging of the game for all platforms to reduce the game’s overall file size. This means that the download size for The Slasher update will be larger than usual for all platforms but once downloaded the file size will be smaller than it is currently.

A new Fallout 76 update has hit the Public Test Server, and it's one we've been waiting for basically since the survival game first launched. Animal companions have long been a core part of the Fallout series, but they've always been absent from F76 - sure, you do get real players joining you on your adventures, but they're not quite as cool.
