We’re so excited that it’s finally in your hands, and seeing your Daily Throw creations has been amazing for the whole team to see. As with any major update like this, we’re tracking any issues that have cropped up, so please do keep reporting via [email protected] with your device and any screenshots/details you can provide. To start, the team has put together a hotfix – for anyone who’s unfamiliar, hotfixes are smaller, more targeted updates to fix more pressing issues that you all might be facing! Earlier this week, South of Midnight developer Compulsion Games shared word that they now own all of the publishing rights to their games , a welcome update in light of the ongoing BDS boycott against Microsoft and Xbox . And now, another studio is joining the realm of boycott freedom, this time Psychonauts studio Double Fine, as CEO Tim Schafer has confirmed that they too now own the publishing rights to their own catalogue. It's heating up in the Kiln with an all new map: Hades’ Pawn Shop! For a limited time, matches on Hades are more likely, so try out our new map now and be careful where you step! On this map you'll find everything that Hades hordes, including all manner of tchotchkes and knick-knacks, but also... SO MUCH LAVA. Here's how you can make the best of it:JUMP! There are plenty of raised platforms for you to take advantage of, so hop onto them to avoid the ebb and flow of the lava. Water is your best friend: Not only does it help you put out the enemy Kiln, but it also allows you to create temporary platforms on the lava to save your poor spirit's feet!And don't forget to stay hydrated! The water you hold will keep you from burning on the lava -- for a time! Every now and again, a game like Kiln comes around and blows people away with a creative idea built around a simple mechanic. When I first saw it during the January 2026 Xbox Developer Direct, I was immediately sold on the premise—make pots and then have those pots do battle. It’s so simple, yet so charming that But as I’ve said before, an interesting idea does not a good game make, and Kiln squanders almost all the potential it could have had on an early release that needed way more time in the oven. It’s a lacklustre multiplayer game built around a creation gimmick that could have been fun, had it actually been accessible.
