Major: Added new SFXs. Fixed a bug where it was possible to lock the game when the player is forced to select a region. Fixed a possible soft lock in the Strike Leader mission if you used the Determined Miner in a fight instead of convincing Karst with him. Minor: Fixed a weird dialogue for the Artifact Trader in the Sacred Temple appearing in the center of the board. Added other obvious options to trigger the event "Trial by combat" Known issues: Some visual glitches on some AMD Radeon graphic cards.

Major: Fixed a bug where it was possible for pending achievements to not actually unlock. Sadly, this fix will not apply achievements retroactively. Fixed "The Medium Place" achievement not triggering in some cases. Fixed a bug where Adventurer cards were not rearranged correctly when an ally leaves combat and an Adventurer is added at the same time. Added proper support for primary and secondary mouse buttons swap from Windows settings. Minor: Fixed a bug on the "Be Kind to Monsters" achievement where it could be unlocked even if the opponents were not from the Infested faction. Fixed a bug on the "Double Trouble" achievement where it could be unlocked even if you only kill one of the rapier owners. Fixed some typos and removed any references to "homme(s)" in French texts. Known issues: Some visual glitches on some AMD Radeon graphic cards.

- Foretales review: channelling Hand Of Fate's tabletop deckbuilding to great effect - 15 September 2022
Hand Of Fate was such a singular thing. On the one hand, it was a tabletop deckbuilding game that saw you picking through roguelike-style dungeons by choosing different cards dealt out by its mysterious Dealer. On the other, it was also an action-packed hack and slasher, bringing its fantastical fight sections to life in fully 3D combat arenas - and there hasn't been anything quite like it since. Voice Of Cards certainly had a go, but its tedious battle system landed it straight on its own discard pile. Thankfully, we've now got the infinitely more engaging Foretales , a new narrative card game from French developers Alkemi, and it comes pretty damn close to capturing that Hand Of Fate goodness. Abandonned prototype 8 days before the release now... Soooo, let's reveal some behind the scene secrets ! In the early stages of production, Foretales was to be a lot more procedural and a lot less story driven. You know, roguelike and everything... At that point we wanted maps to track your progression during missions. With each region matching a biome and regions being generated and sequenced procedurally. We did quite a few visual researches to know how that map would be displayed... but obviously this was never actually used. Gameplay optimisation For the first playtest with people external to the project we did, we had created a dedicated tutorial with 'dummy cards' to teach the basic mechanics of the game in a very 'controlled' environment. On each card you could do ONE thing, and one thing only so that we would be sure you had no choice but to experience all the effects we wanted…

After collecting your feedbacks from the demo, we added new features to improve our game. We are implementing in-game help for players who are stuck in story progression. It will be in form of enigmatic clue or more direct depending on the mission and your time getting stuck on your journey To facilitate the interaction between the cards, we've added a highlight showing the playable cards on a location We also have changed the resource cards hand to be more readable.
