- Private Matches Update - 10 June 2021
Hey, fam! Time runs fast and it's been 4 months already from the start of the new Season. With Season 2, we added new Sumo Wrestlers, arenas, and a lot of emotes! Since last update, we kept working on the game, fixing bugs, and some other minor stuff. But that's not all. We developed a new feature a lot of you asked for. We dived in our feedback list from the community, and one of the most requested features was... playing with your friends only! PRIVATE MATCHES For that reason for the new update, we implemented private matches! Now you can play with your party, without matching with other players online! - Party fixes! - 6 May 2021
Hello Sumotori! We are here with a few small fixes for the ones enjoying the game with their friends and the ones playing solo in the tournaments! In the past week we observed a few issues being reported about party matchmaking going completely wrong and ruining your experience. NOT GOOD! So we rolled up our sleeves, opened up the code editor (yes we use vim) and fixed those nasty bugs! - Fixing the parties! - 15 March 2021
You know what's better than playing Sumo? It's creating a party with your friends and enjoying the fun together! Unfortunately, we had a couple of bugs here and there in the party creation process, but we are fixing most of them with today's update! Some of these bugs include: party members not seeing an invited player joining their party some party members entering matchmaking while some other players were still choosing characters/arenas various problems with disconnecting players not being removed from the party This is part 1 of a more extensive fix to the party system: the second and final patch for parties has to be released together with the console version, which is currently undergoing approval. Will keep you posted on that!

Season 1 Recap Welcome back Sumo Wrestlers! As you may know, Season 2 will be out tomorrow! But today we look back to how amazing Season 1 was. Circle of Sumo is our first Online Multiplayer game. When we started we didn't have a clear idea of where this journey would take us. But now, one year after the first release in Early access, here we are, ready for the next step! - Proclaming the winner of the Circle of Sumo winter community tournament! - 8 February 2021
The Winter Community Tournament has ended on Saturday when the eight finalists challenge themself on live stream during the finals. Twentyfour of Circle of Sumo's best players have competed in the qualifiers. The competition has been tough, and in the end, only the best eight players made it through. To understand how tough it was, let's just say that 6 out of the eight qualified players are ranked in the top 10 of the Official World Ranking. Despite some initial difficulties, Thicc Knight, the defending champ, managed to make it to the final. The other finalist was Shang, the nr.1 player in the rankings and former Tournament champion. This was also not the first time the two met in a Tournament, as they also fought in the last tournament's final, won by Thicc Knight.
