- V.0.3.6 Patch Notes - 3 April 2020
The main goal of this update was to improve the general feel of the gameplay, improve the audio visual feedback and tighten up some bugs and loose ends. We felt it was important to polish up the basic gameplay before continuing to add more content on top of it. I won't list them all, but every single character has new sfx and/or visual improvements. The changes that directly affect gameplay and balance are listed below. General changes: Adjustment to hitstun while dashing: Light hits no longer interrupt dashes, but parried shots will forcibly end them like when colliding into walls. Speaking of dashes, the code for dashing in general has been overhauled, there shouldn't be much noticeably different on the player side but several dash-related bugs have been eliminated. Increased speed of parry and reduced duration. Tweak to ball physics to reduce instances of it being "stuck" in long bou…
- Presidential Valentine's Day Weekend Game Update! - 16 February 2020
Takkyu Tournament's first content update since the Early Access launch brings 2 new playable characters with two new stages! This update took a little longer to come out than we'd originally planned, but some of the new mechanics took some work to implement. New Characters Suji: A clumsy runaway kumiho laying low at Kazan Dojo after becoming its newest student. She carries a mask around to hide her timid face. Suji is a bit slower and clumsier than Kotatsu, her fellow student, but makes up for it with powerful illusion magic. Jill: A trashy guttersnipe of a slime that has trouble getting it together in more ways than one. Her body carries the stains of a lifetime of bad decisions, including joining Cali's fight club. Jill is the main reason this update got delayed! Being a slime, her pad also stretches and sloshes around as she moves. A few different methods were tried before we settled…

Before we can make a fun and compelling arcade mode, we're going to want to add some more characters and stages, as well as make improvements to the CPU AI, so the next update will focus on that. Here's a little teaser pic for one of the new playable characters coming in the next game update:
