• One player has been helping us crush bugs - 17 August 2020

  Greetings Chuhou Joutai players. One player from Singapore has been helping us crush bugs in the game's multiplayer mode. We appreciate his support since I don't have a second person and a second controller to help me do this, which we can't do anyway because of the pandemic. The following bugs below have been crushed: Fixed an issue where the game would crash when starting a game in two-player mode. Fixed a game-breaking bug where the save data could not be loaded in the Steam version. Generally, it loads files from the Steam Cloud. Fixed an issue where player 2's active status is not being flagged correctly when resuming a saved game. Fixed a bug where the game would crash randomly during the stage 4 midboss's second segment when playing in two-player mode. In addition, for balancing reasons, you cannot hold more than ten bombs in two-player mode. Have a good day in Kozankyo!

• Two-player mode is working again... - 15 August 2020

  Greetings Chuhou Joutai players. While Chuhou Joutai player Jason Ee was experimenting with two-player mode while using a third-party controller mapping program, he apparently found a strange bug that caused the game to crash upon starting a two-player game. This problem has been fixed and you should be able to play two-player games now. Have a good day in Kozankyo.

• Introducing Version 1.3.2 - 16 July 2020

  To all those who own Chuhou Joutai, please read this information regarding the Extra Stage. We have been receiving complaints from players saying they can't unlock the Extra Stage. It has been confirmed due to an error with the achievement's unlocking criteria, there are reports of players being unable to get the "Return to Ahoge Peninsula" achievement even after beating Arcade Mode with both characters and shot types. This update is meant to correct the bug. If you have already beaten the game with both characters and shot types, the achievement will unlock automatically once you start the game and enter the main menu. Information regarding closing the game When you shut down the game when you are done playing, you should always choose the Exit option on the main menu. • Achievements and Leaderboards Now Working Again. - 26 June 2020

  Greetings Chuhou Joutai players. You thought version 1.3.0 would be the last update, right? Wrong! Somebody apparently found a bug in the API which prevented achievements and/or high scores from being uploaded to the leaderboard. We have since fixed the issue. If you earned any previous achievements before this version, you will need to launch the game once to refresh and unlock any achievements on Steam. Have a good day in Kozankyo!

• Version 1.3.0 is Here - Online Leaderboards are Now Up! - 25 June 2020

  Greetings Chuhou Joutai players. The summer craze is here and is a good time to dress up in yukata and go to a festival or something. Online Leaderboards are Here! I hate to say this, but this may the last major update in a while unless any of you find a bug. We added a brand new feature that a lot of you have been asking for. That's right. It's online leaderboards! We have already had some big winners with very high scores; one player in Japan got more than 6 million points, while the dev team got 4.5 million. You also unlock an achievement if you beat Arcade Mode with that score or higher. Kanji Map Bug Fix This fix applies only to the Japanese version of the game; we fixed a minor issue where one kanji character in Damausagi's get ready screen displayed a box instead of the actual kanji. • See your high score when resuming a saved game! - 5 June 2020

  Greetings Chuhou Joutai players. We made a minor update to the game. This is to address a bug when continuing a saved game where the high score in the HUD wouldn't display correctly. Even though the game has only been out for a week, the version 1.2.0 update is here, and what's new to the game is below. Kagami Ochiai is now on the player 1 side! When we were reading reviews, we noticed a lot of gripes about Kagami Ochiai being on the player two side. Initially, when the game started development, we wanted Driller to be used only by player 1 and Kagami for the second player. The truth is, we can't simply create whatever we want. We have to reflect player feedback to ensure they get the best possible experience. • Chuhou Joutai is now ready for Steam Cloud! - 15 May 2020

  Greetings Chuhou Joutai players. During the initial playtests, players were not quite ready to receive achievements or have their game data backed up to the cloud. So to do this, we implemented Steam Cloud functions such as saving your high scores and save data. • Introducing Version 1.0.1 - 27 April 2020

  Hi, this is Driller from Drillimation Systems. Today, we found out about a bug in the game's multiplayer mode that would cause the game to crash during stage 6 when playing in two-player mode. Big thank you to Dom Robinson for informing us about the issue. We took a few minutes to correct the bug and everything should be good now.
