A small "silent" patch was just released to fix a field stat message issue that would crash the game on an incomplete pass. The "\\data\\statmessages.json" has been updated to resolve the issue, so please use this new one moving forward for those brave modders in the world! 😉

The Legend Bowl and College Bowl universes collide in the all-new Draft Class Feature Pack DLC! College Bowlers! We've been hearing issues with Dynasty files crashing for some time that occurs when saving playbooks before saving your Dynasty file. This would cause a crash to occur when trying to load any Dynasty from that point on. We apologize for the inconvenience and have a fix for this ready to roll! The patch also includes some new passing AI to help improve QB receiver targeting and running choices when pushed out of the pocket. Hope you enjoy! College Bowlers! Since we love gameplay as much as you do, we've done some tuning and fixes to help bring more immersion onto the field. One of the things we strive for in our game is players playing differently from one another, instead of all playing identically which we all know stinks! With this update, we made some new changes to how Quarterbacks target receivers based on their attributes. We feel this brings more disparity between teams and involves even greater strategy when building your squad. Soft traits like Leadership, Intelligence, Winner, and more already have various impacts across the game. Now, we've taken this one step further and have given Quarterbacks a more complex sense as to how they play and what decisions they make during each and every play. Fans have asked us to share more details on how Recruiting works when it comes to facilities, so we added a new help screen that maps out which facility types are tied to certain player traits. Becoming better at recruiting is mostly based on which facilities your school builds on campus. Want to be better at Scouting to reveal more player grades, then build out your Scouting facilities. College Bowlers! We hope everyone is enjoying the game and getting their College Football fix on! We're actively listening to feedback and bug reports and will continue to do so, in order to improve the game as much as possible. This update includes several updates to gameplay we think you're going to enjoy. For starters, the blocking engine was somewhat broken for a majority of plays due to blocking routes being longer than one segment. This caused blockers to turn around and run to their spots, as opposed to back pedaling like they should have been doing. We've now cleaned up these plays to remove unnecessary routes to create better drop backs and make blocking more realistic. We then took it one step further because we really believe the o-line/d-line interactions are key to a great football game and we wanted to create a better pocket for Quarterbacks to thrive in. Hey College Bowlers! Now that the game is out in the wild, we've had more time to analyze feedback on gameplay and other issues reported by our community. With that said, we focused a lot of our time on Defense, in particular the AI gameplay logic to help manage all of the various offensive and defensive combinations that can occur during a game. That's one of the downsides to having SO MANY plays in our game, your engine needs to be bulletproof. Choosing the best defense to combat the offense is crucial and we feel confident the game is in an even better state that it was before and that's saying something. In addition, player ratings have a significant impact on how games function. We also have to navigate difficulty levels and sliders. Hey College Bowlers! We've been crawling in the Steam Discussion Boards and Discord gathering feedback and issues reported by our fans. We are overwhelmed with the amazing reception so far. We also heard your feedback about the game's issues and bugs. We are slowly taking steps to improve the game as we listen to the community. People have had some issues loading/saving Dynasty saves and the best way to resolve the issue is to cleanout your "C:\Users\YOUR NAME HERE\AppData\Local\college_bowl" folder and reinstall the game.
