• Weather System & New Scenarios - New Free Update Released! - 21 December 2021

  Hello folks, today we make good on our promises as we are releasing the third major free update for Dice Legacy which introduces a whole new Weather System as well as two new scenarios for Forging a Realm. During the past three months, we strived to both listen to feedback and grow the amount of content present in the game. Whether we succeeded or not it's for you to tell us, but darn it we did our best. This update tries to add more variety to both modes with a Weather System that is meant to balance itself with the other threats present on the ringworld. From Heavy Rains to Droughts, from Strong Winds to a menacing Blood Moon, there's a whole new set of positive and negative situations to deal with. • A Storm is Coming! Get early access to our upcoming update today! - 11 December 2021

  Hello folks. Today I am proud to announce that you can get early access to our upcoming December Update on the Laboratory Branch right here on Steam. Shortly after the release of our first update we put out a Roadmap that outlined 3 free major updates plus one paid DLC. So far, we've been able to deliver on everything that was promised and we've been very happy with the response. We hope you'll enjoy this update too and we hope that you will appreciate all the effor that is going in expanding the Dice Legacy experience. Our next update adds a whole new system to both game modes, new scenarios for Forging a Realm as well as new demands, balancing adjustments and more. The full changelog is available below.   Hello folks, it's been about a month since we announced our Development Roadmap and since then we've been working hard on delivering on the promised updates. One of the things that players have been asking for the most is more variety and more content. We are delivering on that today. When we started working on a New Scenario, we went a bit beyond the initial scope that we gave ourselves. As such, a potential new Scenario became a fully fledged New Mode that we're calling Forging a Realm. In this brand new game mode, you're a newly crowned Ruler, attempting to meet the demands of the people or risk being overthrown. With this update, our aim is to expand the amount of content in the game and to provide a new avenue for players who are seeking a more economic-centered experience. Forging a Realm is a brand new game mode where you attempt to meet the demands of the people or risk being overthrown. We decided to call it a new "Game Mode" to differentiate it from the other scenarios, since it plays in a radically different way. • Announcing the Dice Legacy Development Roadmap - 21 October 2021

  Hello folks, today we announce the development roadmap for Dice Legacy, which features two planned additional free updates plus one paid DLC. These planned updates go well beyond our initial plans for post-release support. We took players feedback to got at heart and decided to re-shape our fall and winter plans to address as much of it as possible. Just a couple of days ago, we started by releasing the Memories Update, which introduced many sought after features such as Full Active Pause and Hotkeys Support, as well as a new system and content we were already working on.   Hey folks, it's Gian Paolo Vernocchi, Creative Director of DESTINYbit. Yesterday, during the Escapist Indie Showcase, we announced our first update to Dice Legacy - the Memories Update. Check out the trailer: Memories The update will feature a brand new system called Memories. Memories are a new system that is introduced into the game and that influences everything else. In essence, Memories are modifiers that can appear and be collected inside Locations or dropped by Threats. Memories are composed of a randomly chosen positive and negative effect. In other words, each Memory is both positive and negative at the same time. Whenever a Memory is retrieved, the player can choose from 3 randomly generated Memories. • Dice Legacy 1.1.2 Hotfix Released - 15 September 2021

  Hi folks, today we're releasing a hotfix that addresses some issues that some users were experiencing, especially around some potential crashes on some specific hardware configurations and older versions of Windows. We are working on our first larger update that will address some of the feedback we got from people, including Active Pause. Here's the complete list of fixes: Fix to some potential crashes when loading a new game (LowLevelFatalError Line 907/1431). Fix to a potential crash on certain hardware configurations (Error 258). Fix to an exploit that would allow a recipe to complete without a die present. Fix to a rare occurrance where two dice would occupy the same slot in pool. Fix to the "Just Chilling" achievement not triggering. Fix to the game completion achievements. Increased sound volume of threats.   I used to hate dice in games. If I wanted to play Dingoes & Daggers I'd play it, you know? Even with those choose your own adventure books as kids, we'd just sort of assume that things went a particular way, because who has the time to start again for no reason? And now every game in the world (all of them) has cards in. Ach. I've even played several building games with cards, and I still can't decide if it really works. Dice Legacy is, on the surface, a building game based entirely on rolling dice. Dice and cards obviously aren't the same, but they share a big chunk of territory.
