- Halloween Event is here - let's celebrate it with a great journey! - 28 October 2021
What do you do in your country around Halloween? Here in Poland (where our Different Tales studio is located on November 1, we celebrate All Saints' Day, which is a public holiday. Its name is self-explanatory, however, on November 2, there's All Souls' Day. This is the proper date when we should honor the departed. These two have mixed in the public consciousness and what we got is two days of not-quite-Halloween. For a person from outside the Slavic region, the Poles' traditional approach to faith and death may seem a bit stiff. We don't sing too many uplifting songs in our churches, and the mass is less about being with the community than about diving into your inner self and quietly contemplating your soul. This is also how we honor our dead. Let us know your traditions in the comments and enjoy this little discount "treat" for the entire Wanderlust series collection and the game it…

The project itself was super important and personal for the Different Tales team, as the game writer Marta Malinowska said during the speech at the Paszporty Polityki Awards: “This is a game about rage, and about turning it into something good. I want to dedicate it to all the people who took their anger this year, took to the streets, and decided to do something about the surrounding r…

- We WON Poland’s #1 Culture Award! - 27 January 2021
We’re beyond excited to tell you that our latest game Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Heart of the Forest has won Polityka's Passport, Poland’s no. 1 culture award, in Digital Culture. To quote the organizer, we got it for “creating immersive tales based on text, economically using video and audio, and masterfully utilizing the video game medium.” And we had one tough competition: Ovid Works (“Metamorphosis”) and One More Level (“Ghostrunner”). Let’s give the floor to the team. “This is a game about rage, and about turning it into something good. I want to dedicate it to all the people who took their anger this year, took to the streets, and decided to do something about the surrounding reality.” Marta Malinowska, Writer Marta referred to mass “Women’s Strike” protests, which sparked all over Poland after a total government ban on abortion in 2020. - Our pals' cyberpunk game is out! - 30 July 2020
The cool cats from Walkabout Games just released Liberated! It's a noir cyberpunk action-adventure game inside a living comic. And it's available with -20%. Worth checking out! What's Liberated? It's a story about the world of tomorrow, where everything you say and do is closely monitored by the authorities. This kind of peeping Tom attitude doesn't bode well with some people, who create Liberated, an underground force for change. It starts with a young man being thrown into the brewing conflict... Liberated has already came out on Switch, and the core Nintendo press gave it very strong scores. The critics praised the beautiful style and punchy combat. Now, on PC, Liberated looks simply majestic with 4K visuals, uncapped frame rate, and also 2 free new story DLCs, because they want you to get the fullest experience. Liberated is a truly unique game. Give it a look below. https://store.s…
- See our Werewolf game reveal! - 29 July 2020
It's finally here! The reveal trailer for Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Heart of the Forest, a game set in the World of Darkness that we're working on right now. Enjoy! With HotF, we're aiming to give you that special feeling of taking part in a classic pen-and-paper role-playing session. There are many games that take some the core mechanics and put it inside a game, but we want to stay more faithful to the entire experience. We're taking an approach that's more suggestive than literal. Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Heart of the Forest takes place in the modern times, in the last primeval forest in Europe. It's a real place called Puszcza Białowieska. There are many legends surrounding it, and many of them found their way into our game. You'll explore them as Maia, a young woman looking to uncover the mysteries of her family. She doesn't expect to find herself right in the middle of an ancie…
