- Open Beta Demo Out Now!! - 22 September 2022
That's right everyone, Planet Morph has an open beta demo, and you can play it for free right now! This open beta demo doesn't have everything the "final" demo would have, but it is a solid experience with around 45 minutes of playtime. As comes with the nature of open beta, feedback is welcome! This demo is sort of a "pitch" of the concept that I've been developing to the gaming community. I've been working on this game over the course of two years now so I'm very excited to show you guys what I've been up to. I hope you guys enjoy playing the open beta demo of Planet Morph and seeing what the game is all about!
- May Devlog! Optimizations, Detail Work, and Sections Complete! - 13 May 2022
Hey everyone, it's been a while since I’ve done one of these, so let’s catch you up. After the last devlog development on Planet Morph things started to get a little tricky. I realized that in reality, the engine wasn’t exactly easy to work with, rooms and objects took a while to implement, and all around the game could be polished up in a lot of ways. So I took a development break and focused on other things for a while, such as updating my other game, Color Soul: Memories, to version 1.2, which included features such as controller support, achievements, and other improvements. After that break, I was ready to tackle Planet Morph once again, and this time I wanted to do it right. So, for the first few months, I really just took the time to thoroughly optimize code and detail the existing content I had. Such as, for example, further simplifying my event system to make it easier to creat…
- First Look at Planet Morph! - 11 February 2022

- April Devlog! New Creature, Groundwork Laid, and Progress Made! - 24 April 2021
Hey everyone! Welcome to the official Planet Morph April devlog! Like I said, I hope to do these devlogs every couple months to keep you guys updated on the game’s development, so without further ado, let’s get right into it. To start, I will show you the new creature I developed, the Tekmythian! While its core ability, it’s crystal laser blast, isn’t fully developed yet, the creature is fully modelled and playable! You would have seen this on my Twitter a while ago if you were following that, but here’s what the Tekmythian looks like! While the creature is heavy and slow, the laser attack that emanates from the crystal in its center will have great range and will be used to solve puzzles in the future. So, look forward to seeing that when the feature is implemented! And besides that, everything else these last couple months of development has focused on building the groundwork of the e…
- February Devlog! Demo Started, Future Plans, and More! - 10 February 2021
Hey everyone! Welcome to the first official devlog of Planet Morph! This is subject to change, but right now I’m planning to post a devlog update once every couple months, so expect them to be fairly dense with information! With that out of the way, let’s get right into it! Development in this game started late October, and after a couple months I finally had enough groundwork laid to begin the first area of the game, The Laboratory. This lab belongs to sentient robot beings called the ISS-RR (Intelligent Self-Sustaining Replication Robots) who thrive to make advancements in scientific technology. Hence, the creation of the player, the Alterux! The Alterux is a powerful being that can transform into any creature it touches, organic and inorganic alike. In the full version of Planet Morph, my tentative plan is to have around 50 creatures to collect, but again that’s subject to change. Th…
