• Stimuli Version 2.0 Released! - 16 December 2021

  Stimuli version 2.0 is here! Woohoo! To be honest I did not expect to be having post launch support for this game over a year and a half after its release but due to a few players inspiring me by genuinely spending time to enjoy my creation I decided to strap on the ol' boots and get a new major content update in. This version includes many changes including Bug fixes having to do with getting achievements and being able to skip levels New platforming mechanics via the introduction of moving platforms and spikes Three entirely new levels including a new sequence after the final boss A change in how the jetpack operates, rather than giving you extra jumps it now allows you to truly fly More story content Here is a gif preview of one of the new levels: Thank you for playing Stimuli, you guys are the best!

• Stimuli v1.4 Released! - 25 March 2021

  Stimuli v1.4 is here! This update includes a few bug fixes which should improve performance on most machines as well as a few quality of life additions. These changes include: - (Hopefully) Patched the issue where certain systems were locked to 24 fps - Made the intro cutscene skippable via a button in the top right corner - Added a final stats page at the end of the game where you can see kill count and number of secrets discovered - Added another in game achievement

• Stimuli 1.3.3 Released! - 23 November 2020

  Version 1.3.3 has been released and it contains a handful of small bug fixes along with a major issue some players were experiencing involving an issue with the co-op campaign gamemode. Most notably: - A graphical glitch causing two health bars to appear when the gamemode was set to singleplayer was fixed - The appearance of the second player during the mini boss fight while in singleplayer mode was patched

• Stimuli V1.3 Co-Op Mode Added! - 27 May 2020

  With Stimuli version 1.3, the possible multiplayer modes have been expanded by adding a co-op campaign option! You can now play through the game in its entirety with a friend! Simply plug in a controller and play either locally, or with any of your Steam friends with the Steam Remote Play feature! Additionally, a small graphical update was applied changing the look of the intro room. Here are some photos:

• Stimuli 1.2.1: Minor Bug Fixes - 11 April 2020

  Stimuli 1.2.1 was just released and contains a handful of minor bug changes. Most notably: - Bug causing hearts bar to appear in rooms they aren't supposed to was fixed - Bug preventing player from winning game in specific scenarios was fixed - Values such as hp and speed were tweaked on the mid-game boss to allow for better balancing

• Stimuli V 1.2: Story Update Released - 6 April 2020

  Today, Update 1.2: The Story Update was officially made live on Steam. This update includes major changes to the game including graphical updates, major story-mode expansions, and minor bug fixes. Graphical Updates: - Many of the in game sprites were updated in order to give better quality visuals and a coherent theme. This includes: - Update to the default ground tile texture - Grappling point sprite updated - Turret sprite updated - Red button sprite updated - The final victory screen was also changed to look better - A new explosion animation sprite was added for when to defeat the bosses The new sprites/victory screen can be seen in the following screenshots: Story Mode Updates: - Expanded the pause menu to allow for more actions - Added a save/load feature, this does not get rid of permadeath, as any saves you have will be deleted when you die, but you can save, quit, and come back…

• Stimuli Version 1.1 Released! - 3 April 2020

  Today, update 1.1, and Stimuli's first update was made live on Steam! Which includes both general bug fixes and some graphical updates! Technical Issues Addressed: - Bug that caused menu screen to shift slightly when buttons were pressed has been fixed - Bug with menu music causing it to randomly start over has been fixed - Bug with chase enemies not following has been fixed Graphical Updates: - Changed the default background color on all maps to a more interesting color - Added windows revealing a space background - Added parallax effect to backgrounds when the camera moves Feature Changes: - Due to issues with the LAN multiplayer not working it has been temporarily removed from the game, in favor of focusing solely on the other multiplayer modes. - On that note, even though the game modes say Local it is possible to play fully online with your friends using Steam's Remote Play feature…
