The behavior of strike packages will be investigated further.Updated the "Crane" and "Patriots" scenarios with the new AI system. Please report any weird behavior.Enabled the new AI system in the Midway mission generator. Fixed issues with plane icons covering tooltips in the Ouija panel. Enemy AI system redesignIntroduced a new, still experimental AI system for enemy fleets. Only enabled in generated Coral Sea scenarios. Nothing should change dramatically for the moment, as we are just recreating the old behavior with it, but it is the foundation for somethi…

Screenshots by Matlock, CptXile & g0ld3ngames07/30/2026After a short mandatory Summer break, the team is back in action. The newer patchNew scenario: "Kantai Kessen". Protect a relief convoy on its way to Midway as the Japanese navy tries to interdict it and provoke a decisive engagement with your carriers. Enterprise, Hornet, Yorktown and Saratoga are making a pincer around the enemy fleet - will it hold long enough?Note: the relief force in Midway is the first occurrence of an allied non-player naval unit in a scenario. You cannot change its course or speed for now, so do try to sweep ahead of it. It can also set as a target to be covered with CAP from your carriers.New objects fully integrated: BB Yamato, BB Nagato, CA Mogami, APD Manley.Japanese seaplanes can now carry bombs (Jake, Pete) and torpedoes (Mavis, Emily) when allowed to strike. Beware.A new pop-up was added to allow you…

Graphics & SoundsVisuals are probably the department where our focus will be lightest in the near future. The animated crew has been taken care of as far as phase 1 is concerned, and is now about to be set in full deployment mode, with a lot of new, original contents. We'll keep pushing to generalize the little guys throughout the carrier fleet:…

Doing it during a game session will require you to reload the scenario/save.The new feature might have some impact on raw performances, but shouldn't impact time compression.Feedback is very much appreciatedAdded air intercept alerts. Added a new pop-up alert that appears whenever the player’s fighters encounter an enemy scout, strike group, or escort force for the first time. The alert pauses the game and allows the player to jump directly into the cockpit of the nearest fighter, focus on that fighter in the 3D world, or skip the encounter. These alerts will on…
- [EA SITREP #14] Little Guys & Other News, Coming Next Week! - 27 June 2026

Them Lil' GuysOk, here they are. And that's pretty coolWe'll be rolling out the little guys in the next patch, after a few adjustments made during beta testing. Although progress has been a bit on the slow side, some important fixes have still been implemented, allowing us to improve in-game performance quite a bit. We also owe you an update about the team itself, so here we go. Kentai Kessen around the cornerKentai Kessen isn't out just yet, mostly because a few objects and a couple of in-game functions still need to be integrated. Their ships are getting ready as we speak, and we still hope to release the scenario before the end of the month. As you know, it is quite an endeavor that will push our unit count and our gam…
- [EA SITREP #12] New scenario, Patch Notes, Guadalcanal & Battleship Command! - 6 June 2026
Note & credit: Action screenshots were provided by players on the game’s Discord - today featuring Comrade Roman, Alan, Poodle07, George, munchlol and Foxman! After a rather long and rather slow month of May for some of our team members, who had to go through a lot of rather exhausting personal issues, we are back with a new scenario making good use of the current assets, along with a preview of what is coming next. New Scenario : Revenge is a Dish Best Served ColdWe won't say too much about the new scenario so as not to spoil . But imagine, what if Fletcher had failed at Coral Sea - or more exactly, if Takagi had indeed struck Yorktown and Lexington instead of Sims and Neosho. What would that imply for Operation MO and the fate of Port Moresby? In this scenario, Halsey is running south as he did historically. But while this stroll down to the SOPAC area ultimately provided him with litt…

- Task Force Admiral's Demo is back for the Steam Ocean Fest! - 17 May 2026
Thanks to Poodle07 for his fantastic screenshots!Ahoy ladies & gentlemen! Task Force Admiral is taking part in Steam Ocean Fest 2026, running from May 18th to May 25th.For the occasion, the demo on the Steam store page has been refreshed with the latest internal build we felt comfortable putting in front of new eyes. Nothing world-shaking compared to what backers and regulars have already been seeing in Early Access, but it brings the demo experience much closer to where the game actually stands today - better stability, updated UI passes across several screens, and the small quality-of-life fixes that have piled up over the past few weeks. If you have friends who have been on the fence, this is a good window to point them toward. The demo update is already available on the store page - please have fun!The Demo contains the usual Coral Sea contents (2 scenarios) along with a limited ver…

06/05/2026 Fixed major bug with japanese seaplanes in the Wake Up Call at Tulagi scenario. Fixed crash when planes requested to land just after a plane took off from a given carrier. Added an error reporting system that will automatically package game data, with user validation. Regarding carrier flight deck damage mechanics introduced a few days ago, please note the following: A destroyed aft flight deck section will make all landings impossible. A destroyed mid flight deck section will make strike spotting impossible, but CAPs will still be able to takeoff. A destroyed fwd flight deck section will make all takeoffs impossible.
- [EA SITREP #11] New scenario "Wake-up call at Tulagi" available - Patchnotes - 2 May 2026
Note & credit: Action screenshots were provided by players on the game’s Discord - today featuring Chill, Supersigma69, Spicylol, munchlol and Foxman! There we go, a new scenario! Along with important changes to game mechanics that were mentioned in the previous patch notes. Let's have a look at all this content, as Task Force Admiral gets richer - and harder too! New Functions: LRCAP, FDO Limitations & Flight Deck DamageRegarding the new Long-Range Combat Air Patrol system, please refer to our previous patch notes below:These are very much in trial, and you might not be super happy with the reactivity of the detached CAP just yet. We will try to have them intercept more targets earlier. Note that the local Task Force will not direct them towards radar contacts. They will only engage what they can visually target. They are complemented by new Fighter Director (FDO) functions. The new FDO…
- Patch Notes (22936228) : LRCAP mechanics trials - 26 April 2026
A couple small updates were pushed before the weekend. After a few bugs were corrected, here are the current patch notes ahead of the release of another scenario, hopefully, next week :24/04/2026Major changes made to the way strikes manage target assignment, especially by the AI player, to make it feel more natural and efficient. We have introduced a new mechanism allowing for long-range CAP patrols (LRCAP). These patrols are managed on the CAP interface (Fleet Plot) like any other CAP patrol. The mechanism is still experimental and requires further testing, so please report any bugs. These patrols can be assigned to another task force or an arbitrary player-defined position on the strategic map (see the "target" setting).Once over their target, these aircraft will circle and attack any enemy in sight. Note that assigning a patrol to a task force means that it will follow it around.IMPORT…

- [EA SITREP #10] New scenario "Too Little, Too Early" available - Patchnotes - 18 April 2026
Note & credit: Action screenshots were provided by players on the game’s Discord - today featuring Minga, Orbital, Munchlol, QJW, Alan & Reis. Big thanks to them!As mentioned in the last update, we're rolling out a new scenario. It is not meant as a turning point or anything, but it is an important stepstone in regard of contents, as we hone our skills and team organization towards more tactical situations, which will every time imply a couple more functions that will end up being active for existing contents too, and as such useful to the overall picture. We methodically enrich the game, in terms of quantity and quality of the gameplay experience, and hopefully it shall soon enough become an episodic rythme de croisière with (fingers crossed) 2 to 3 scenarios per month. But let's not get ahead of ourselves and let's see what this one brings us. A New Scenario : "Too Little, Too Early"T…
