Imagine Tetris but played in a bottomless ocean shaft, with linked tetronimoes serving to continue your journey down that shaft, providing you keep earning enough points to play them. This is Podvodsk , a free game jam experiment from Loop Hero developers Four Quarters. Not played Tetris? 1) you bloody liar, and 2) let me frame this differently, then. The idea here is that you're trying to construct a tapering underwater city out of random clumps of building blocks, dangled from the bottom of a miraculously unsinkable surface platform. Each building both costs points and also, earns points based on different scoring criteria, and every time you play a piece, the screen scrolls irreversibly downward. Read more

In it, The Lich has formed a timeless loop, and inhabitants are thrust into never-ending chaos. It is up to you and your expanding deck of mystical cards to control the chaos by placing enemies, buildings, and terrain along expedition loops for the brave hero to fight and traverse. On April 16 Iron Brigade comes to cloud and console. As part of the Mobile Trench Brigade your job is to protect humanity from the Monovision in this Tower Defense shooter. Added settings option: "Gamepad Mode". If you turn it off, the game will stop looking for a connected gamepad. For some users, the constant search for a gamepad prevented them from playing normally (in particular on Linux). The option can also be switched at any time with the F8 key. Almost all graphics and code are finished, mostly texts/sounds/balance remain. Also, so far, after the release of the version for Nintendo Switch, there have been a few fixes and now we decided to update the PC version along with them. And also added support for gamepads! The Russian studio behind Loop Hero have encouraged would-be-players to pirate their game if they're unable to buy it due to the sanctions against Russia. Access to some payment systems has been lost following Russia's invasion of Ukraine, so the devs say if you can't figure out a way to buy it, hey, just download it. Original Story: This year had us stuck in many video game time loops, but one of my absolute favourites was Loop Hero . I never thought an autobattler RPG would hook me the way it did, but I spent hours upon hours helping a little knight circle a seemingly endless void, and had a wonderful time doing it.
