Hey! As some of you may know we are painfully business savvy. So with that in mind we decided to, instead of building on a game and aesthetic that sold really well; instead of making a post void 2 or something similar, we decided to make a game that's completely the opposite. A game that's slow, with muted colors, and no murdering things. Anyway, It’s been in the works a long time (directly after post void) and we’re pretty excited to be able to reveal it now. Featuring: a procedurally generated world, a naturalistic pixel art, multiple endings, a soundtrack composed by local indie bands, and more. You’ll embark on a journey on the road, where you’ll pick up hitchhikers with their own personalities and stories. Post Void is a difficult game to explain. Which I fully appreciate isn't the most helpful start to a spotlight feature. On face value, it's loud, garish, ultra-violent, super-colorful, and uber-challenging. But there's also something about Post Void that doesn't immediately meet the eye. We're happy to announce the release of Post Void 1.4. This version of POST VOID adds some features that were created to the recently released console release of POST VOID. UPDATE: It seems this build was somehow crashing for a lot of players. We have temporarily reverted back to the older version, but will try to resolve this asap. For now, if you want to try the new version you can choose the public beta-branch to access it. Build is now live again and should not cause crashes anymore. Sorry for the inconvenience! NEW FEATURES: GAMEPAD SUPPORT POST VOID now supports gamepad controls. We're very happy how the gamepad controls ended up and worked closely with porting developer Zach Reedy who did an amazing job with them. Finally POST VOID is available on consoles! Playstation 5 version will release as soon as possible. Playstation 5 users can still purchase and play the PS4 version and upgrade to free when the PS5-version releases. We're very happy with the implementation of the controls and worked alongside Zach Reedy who developed the port of the game and did an amazing job! POST VOID Hello, Christopher here, programmer and 1/2 of YCJY. First of all I want to thank everyone for all the great reviews given to POST VOID! We finally have a new patch out for POST VOID. It has some smaller fixes that should up the performance and enjoyment of the game without removing anything. NEW PATCH Here are the patch notes: -fixed a bug which sometimes made enemies spawn on top of each other -fixed a bug which would make the player get out of bounds (and sometimes crash the game) -fixed so you can pause in the tutorial (so you can invert your y-axis at the start of the game etc) -added some major improvements to how the memory is handled (should reduce lag) -added an artbook with Josef's concept art and some early ideas we had for the game. I had been too conscious before then. I didn’t yet understand. Post Void , I had thought, was about being fast . I was probably too old to ever be good at it. That never mattered even when I thought it was true, but it isn’t. Post Void is about letting the game take you. Its hypnotic rhythms, its lurid colours, its cacophony of violence and strangled, somehow endlessly escalating guitars. There is a space in your mind between reflex and conscious decision, between panic and triumph. That is where Post Void is set, I think. It’s certainly where it takes me. According to the reams of footage on my hard drive dated from the last few days, I have played Post Void . It is possible I did not start out in this reality. It is possible I have somehow travelled here, to replace this universe’s version of me, who started playing Post Void and vanished without a trace. Asked to explain, I can only go by the notes she left behind.
