Hey card sharks! If you were watching the Akupara section of MIX Next Publisher Spotlight you would have seen news of the major content update coming to Kardboard Kings called Card Game Island! - Kardboard Kings Season 2 Launches! - 3 August 2022
Hey, card sharks! The second big content update for Kardboard Kings is now live! We've got three new card sets and a brand new (much requested) gameplay feature to help endgame players churn through their massive collections. As a note for any achievement hunters out there, all achievements referencing card sets (such as collecting a shiny of every card in the game) will be updated in 0.7.9 to require the new card sets as well. We’ll be going dark for a while until the next big content patch is ready but… boy let me tell you, it’s gonna be a doozy. Hey, card sharks! The first big content update for Kardboard Kings is now live! We've got three new card sets, eight new decorations and a host of bugfixes all come in our first big content update for Kardboard Kings. The new sets are each done by a new slate of guest artists (who absolutely knock it out of the park, by the by) and will seamlessly add themselves into your current save or a brand new file. Either way works! Same thing will happen with the eight new decorations, these ones coming entirely through Declan's weekly shop goals. Be on the lookout for those exclusives! Hey, card sharks! We've got another promised update out for you to play around with! This update pairs some low-hanging quality of life changes that we've seen folks ask for as well as another big round of bugfixes to stamp out any issues that have persisted since launch. The headline changes are that Clearance sales sell your cheapest cards first, Declan keeps coming to the shop even after you get all the decorations, and customers chance to buy cards now scales according to their median price rather than a fixed price. As a note, if you'd like to see some of these changes take place, you're going to need to cycle a new day to get them to trigger. Some stuff you'll see right on loading up the game but some things will need a new save trigger to kick in, as it were. Hey, Card Sharks! We’re pushing a small update that has a huge bugfix in it that I wanna take a minute to break down for you. We know that there are a number of players who pushed deep into the endgame and found issues with Postie Gustaf delivering mail to you. Of primary concern, this softlocked player’s games because he’d eventually arrive with no mail and you couldn’t exit the mail screen. Of secondary concern, this means players could tank their shop into the ground by losing all their money and cards. Both of these problems are fixed in today’s build. Posting Gustaf will be arriving and he’ll be arriving with all of the backlog packages you ordered. Fair warning, there will be a ton of mail (as you can see in the screenshot below) but it’s the most important bug we’ve been working on since we released less than a week ago. Hey, card sharks! A big update is coming today with a huge focus on solving tons of bugs that you’ve reported to us over the weekend. Obviously, we’re still less than a week out from launch so this update isn’t focused on bringing some of the expansive changes that we’ve seen players asking for. Our focus here is instead on nailing as many of the disruptions in the way of people enjoying the game. If you just wanna buy, sell, trade and collect the cards of Warlock, a ton of issues that have been in your way are solved in this patch. The headliners here include clamping down huge reputation swings, fixing the unselectable gbay items issue, and cleaning up some rare issues in the deep, deep late game.
