We're really happy to announce today that big changes are coming to Inertial Drift - but before we get to that, we have to say a huge thank you to everyone who has shown support, bought, downloaded, wishlisted or reviewed Inertial drift. Over the past year, we've been thinking about how we can improve and grow the overall experience and today is the first day of that journey into expanding the Inertial Drift universe. As some of you will have noticed there are some changes to the current roster, specifically; - The original Roton 7D is now Class B with updated handling. - We've also added a New upgraded Roton 7D Super for Class A. In the coming months we will release a further three upgraded cars to the roster as well. We're currently aiming to have one added to Inertial Drift every month. - Drift Gryo: How the Twin Stick Controls work in Inertial Drift - 8 September 2020
Inertial Drift's unique twin-stick control scheme gives you independent control over both steering and drifting, but how does the drift stick work? It's all thanks to the Drift Gyro! Under the bonnet of every car there are two super-dense discs counter rotating at several thousand rpm. When you slam on the Drift Stick (right hand side!), power is diverted to the discs, tilting them off axis to create a torque on the car which kicks out the back end into a perfectly controlled slide. Not going to lie, we've been absolutely blown away by the support you've shown on Inertial Drift: Sunset Prologue so far. It's always a nerve-wracking time putting something into the hands of the public when you've been working on it for so long. Will people gel with the handling model? Are the target times too high or low? The CODA and Dragon are two such different beasts - and we were curious to see how everyone would get on with exploring what they have to offer. It's safe to say that, watching your runs and seeing your times has been extremely encouraging! You see, Inertial Drift is by no means a standard racing game. Sure it looks like it in video or screenshots - but it is our hope that, when you touch it, when you feel the twin stick drifting mechanics, you’ll understand what sets Inertial Drift apart.
