- Never Surrender! - 6 October 2020
It's time for a price drop! As a solo indie developer the most important thing right now is getting feedback on the game and giving players a chance to enjoy everything the game has to offer. We want to keep developing the game adding more content, challenges, enemies, events and everything that makes Earth: 9000 so fun and challenging to play. The best way to do that is right now is to drop our price to a more reasonable position. What's the point in making games if your not priced attractive enough for people to give it a shot? Well, that's an easy fix. In addition to our price drop we're also dropping in some new dimensional space backdrops, giving us even more pretty images and more visual madness. You can read more about the drop on our blog post over here. Gamasutra Blog Stay tuned for a new update soon!

Although some achievements are simple that are unlocked for playing and progressing others require some specific effort. In addition to achievements, Steam Leaderboards are now tracking kills and best waves. This is creating a little healthy competition for the community. We'll be looking at seasonal competitive stats to be reset on a monthly basis. Perhaps we can get some rewards for the winners. Some weapons have undergone improvements like Seeker Burst yielding more warheads firing over a longer period time and increased damage for Q-Carbon Driver. And finally the medium sized ships are now pathing and tracking a bit better and won't feel like they're constantly trying to escape off screen. - Earth: 9000 - Fresh Metal - 14 August 2020
The Alien menace has unleashed their newest devastating ships to turn the tide against Earth. The Missile Boat moves slowly and fires erratically, unfortunately it's ordinance are devastating seeking warheads. Their erratic launch vectors mean they approach the Earth at odd angles complicating their destruction and defense. The Drone Carrier sprints around the Earth firing rapidly in all directions, that in itself isn't unusual trouble, but when destroyed, they release a batch of drones that clog up the battlefield, distract your seeking warheads and generally become a significant hazard. The Cruise Missile is now your adversary in the Fighter Assault, rebranded to Missile Assault. They approach Earth in huge numbers and devastating damage if they reach their target. Last but not least, the Heavy Fighter enters the fray firing rapidly and moving just as quickly itself. Where normal figh…
- Earth: 9000 - Weapons Hot! - 12 August 2020
The Weapons Hot update add a variety of new balance changes and some quality of life fixes we've had our eye on for some time now. Although some of these changes may make the initial waves easier, it just means you get to the real meat grinder that much sooner. The key changes are allowing all Kinetic weapons to have zero ammo cost. They've been balanced to account for that and their other properties, like shots speeds, fire rates, destroying enemy projectiles or piercing enemy ships keeps them balanced amongst each other. The other major change is the inclusion of 3 new pickups that can spawn when enemies are destroyed. The Health Cannister, keeping you in the fight longer. The Research Cannister providing you with more upgrade potential. The Hazardous Cannister, you don't want this, the hazardous chemicals deal serious damage to the Earth. Notable Changes Kinetic Weapons are now free…

- Earth: 9000 - Unexpected Events - Update 1 - 8 July 2020
Earth: 9000 - Unexpected Events - Update 1 - Fighter Assault One of our first updates focuses on creating special or unexpected events that occur to break up the gameplay in normal attack waves. As you play through the normal waves and defeat the alien invaders, there is an increasing chance of encountering one of these unexpected events. Akin to Boss battles, but not always focused on a single entity, more of a boss event. Fighter Assault difficulty scales based on how deep into the normal waves you are. So getting a Fighter Assault while you're sub wave 10 will be pretty easy, unless your resources are low. But into the higher waves, 25 and up, you'll be facing down a couple hundred of those nasty fighters. Notable Changes Added Fighter Assault Event Increased ammo cost of Flare Pod Flare missiles from Flare Pod using new audio, now less annoying Adjusted debris clouds to be a bit mor…
