We came up with the design together, and they've sent me an awesome prototype version to show off in this video - Makeship works just like kickstarter - they have started a campaign, and we need to place 200 preorders before the campaign ends. - Save & Suspend Your Quests! - 16 May 2023
While you are questing, you can now find a new button in the pause menu - Save & Quit. Pressing this button will create a checkpoint savefile that you can resume from at a later time. Previously, to stop playing you would need to return to Base Camp and end your current quest. But now, you can just suspend the game and come back another time. So when real life calls, you'll no longer be caught out! You can use this feature at almost any time - but not during combat and not during a dungeon. Resuming will restore your location in the world and all your progress too (like your mount, ammo and collected pins). But the overworld's patches will also be reshuffled. There's one more benefit - if you are within the minority of players that suffers from occasional crashing, then this feature also allows you to resume your crashed quest. - Balance & Bug Fixes Update - Patch Notes - 13 March 2023
Balance Changes: - The difficulty curves have been tweaked so that longer quests are more difficult. At first, this change won't be particularly obvious. But as the length of your quest increases, the difficulty will ramp up more sharply than before. This is meant to reduce the risk of some quests becoming infinitely long, when players outscale the game's difficulty. - The Left Behinds charm now spawns 1-2 small critters, instead of 3 critters. - The radius and damage dealt by the Blast Buddies charm has been decreased. - The damage dealt by the Ricochet charm has been slightly decreased. - It is now possible to summon pets inside of dungeons. Bug Fixes: - Fixed an issue where it was sometimes possible to leave Base Camp by fast travelling. - Fixed an issue with typing Chinese text when renaming the island or your pets.
