  • Developing Snack Tick has helped me through 2020. - 25 November 2020

Hello There! I hope everyone is doing well and keeping safe! As the whole world already knows, most people's lifestyles have changed. We now go out wearing masks, maintaining a distance from the people that surround us and we always make sure to sanitize before we interact with anyone or anything. However, some of us have chosen to stay at home, catch up on their series and play video games. Along with that, I had decided to make my first big title and release it on Steam for others to play and enjoy. In a way for myself, creating video games is just as fun as playing them. Snack Tick started out as a Game Jam game, which helped set the foundation for the final product that you see today. It started out with just one character, a simple map design and just the hand to avoid. I believed that adding in more players to the scene, power up abilities and more map variety will create a more e…

  • Snack Tick - Time Warp Update! - 20 November 2020

HELLO THERE! I trust everyone is well and keeping safe! Today I am happy to announce the first Content Update for Snack Tick, the TIME WARP UPDATE! Along with a few bugs and glitch fixes, I have added in some New Content to dive into when you next launch Snack Tick. These include the following: The Time Aitemus! This new Aitemus Power up will allow the player who obtains it, to slowdown time. This means the Player who is using it, will be able to collect food drops and dodge threats while everything (and everyone) surrounding them will be slowed down. Infinity Rush Mode! This new mode will test both your speed and reaction time! You start the mode with 15 seconds and gain an extra second for each food drop you collect. Let's see how long you can last and how much time you can give yourself. 10 New Missions! Bringing the total up to 60, these new missions will allow players to test out t…

  • Snack Tick Version 1.13 - Hitboxes, Colliders and Statistics! - 7 November 2020

HELLO THERE! I trust everyone is well and keeping safe! This update for will help improve your collecting experience in Snack Tick! I have managed to fix a few bugs and glitches while adding in some Quality of life changes. The game's engine has also been updated, so expect better performance and updated visuals the next time you start Snack Tick. Along with these changes are the following: COLLIDER UPDATES! Every character in the game has gotten their colliders revamped. Their movement and interactions with the environments will be more responsive and every character now has a better reach. STATISTICS! Among one of the many requests for the game, I have added a statistical information tab in the Mission Select Menu. You will be able to now identify each character's Speed, Recovery time and Collider sizes. HITBOXES! Image represents an earlier version of Snack Tick and will differ from…

  • Snack Tick Version 1.09 - Colours, Grass and Resolutions! - 25 October 2020

HELLO THERE! I hope everyone is doing well and keeping safe. Since the last update, I have been getting a lot of feedback and requests regarding Snack Tick. I am happy to say that I have managed to fix a few bugs and glitches as well as add in 3 New Features that have been requested. COLOURS! Some players have told that they weren't a fan of the Purple/Pink colours that were used in the Missions, so I have now given players the option to choose between 32 different colour options. To select and change them, select your "Steam Username" shown in the main menu and select the colour you want from there. This will also affect certain menu icons and buttons as well. RESOLUTIONS! This was a massive request and I am glad to say it is finally here, Players can now change the resolution in Snack Tick. For all players (returning and new), you're Resolution will now be set to 1280x720 the next tim…

  • Snack Tick - Version 1.05 Update! (and CONGRATS to CCA Winners!) - 7 October 2020

Hello there! I hope everyone is doing well and keeping safe! The Release of Snack Tick has really become a massive Achievement for me and I cannot thank you all enough for your Support! As I have said before, this is just the beginning: Snack Tick has officially been on Steam for over 2 weeks now and I am grateful for all the support and feedback it has been getting. As you might already know, Snack Tick has gotten quite a few patches since launch. Most of these came after some feedback regarding certain glitches and problems that some players may have encountered. Glad to say the follow have been fixed: Fixed Issue where Missions would sometimes display both the Victory and Defeat Screens after Time Out. Fixed an issue where Ojiame would've been stuck on some of the stages. Move the Countdown Timer before a Mission starts, in front of the Mission Statement. Fixed an issue where the Mod…

  • SNACK TICK Steam Launch! (and CCA Demo) - 21 September 2020

Hello There! I hope everyone is doing well and keeping safe! I am officially launching this Passion Project of mine to Steam on the 22nd of September. Snack Tick started out as a Game Jam Entry which came from the simple idea of being a bug collecting food and avoiding the big scary humans. A few weeks after developing this prototype, I decided to expand upon it and make a Multiplayer version that would allow for even more chaos. The early days of development were about setting the right foundation and systems, it turns out that getting 4 characters on screen at the same time and controlled by different inputs was a lot harder than expected. It then lead to the designs of more characters, which were all modeled from scratch. Then came the stages and new threats that would come with them. The Development of the Snack Tick has been an enriching experience, one which I'll never forget. Thi…
