• Game closure notice - 26 July 2023

  Hi everyone, I would like to take this opportunity to say a massive thank you to those who have played this game and provided feedback good or bad, it's so valuable to me as a developer to know where I've gone wrong, what you enjoyed what you didn't. Unfortunately I have decided to close the Sale of Hanefield Asylum, this game was the first I ever truly created and finished and I am proud that I was able to accomplish such a goal, I am continuing to develop future games, but unfortunately due to my inexperience developing this game it is not feasible for me to try to fix or improve the issues that are present, I have intentions in the future to create a new game based around Hanefield Asylum which I hope will be a lot more enjoyable to the horror lovers out there. Thank you for giving this game a go, I look forward to providing better content in the future to you all.

• PHASE II: NIGHTMARES - 7 November 2020

  Hi everyone!, We're excited to announce that an expansion we've been working on for Hanefield Asylum called 'Phase II: Nightmares' is ready for release! Explore the upper corridor & bedrooms of the Asylum as you plunder around in a waking nightmare! Find a little more of your past along the way. This is a mostly visual experience with no combat included. Our intent is to frighten our players, so expect to be holding on to your chair and gritting your teeth as you find your way out of the looping nightmare! This is a free Expansion for Hanefield, the only requirement is that you complete the game before you can access this content! Smaller update: Some UI has been updated with some new imagery. AI have been nerfed so they take 2 shots to kill instead of 3, this is due to a lot of complaints around the AI being too hard to kill. I hope you all enjoy the update and look forward to seeing y…

• Expansion coming! - 31 October 2020

  Hey guys! I'm excited to announce I've nearly finished working on my Expansion for Hanefield, This will be called "PHASE II: NIGHTMARES". This will be FREE for players who have/will buy the game, the only requirement is that you will have to Complete the original game before you can access the Expansion. In this expansion you will roam the corridors upstairs in the asylum, eagerly searching for your medication. I have removed combat for this expansion and is mostly a visual game with generic Keys to get around. I hope you will all enjoy this and I can't wait for you to play it! Good luck!

• Save game added (again) Sorry everyone! - 6 October 2020

  I've re-built and reuploaded the version of the game with the save game functionality and the other updates referenced in my last Update post!. I didnt realise but I had accidently uploaded an older version. I have triple checked and the game and it's definitely fully updated!

• Game save functionality added - 13 September 2020

  Hi everyone!, Just a quick Post for the latest Update. 1. I have added Save Game functionality to the game. This is done automatically at the beginning of each round/level. You will receive a small notification in the top right each time the game is saved. The Save will always be the furthest point you have reached in the game. You can still Start a new game but this will not overwrite your Save file. I have added a 'Delete all saves' option, if you use this it will delete your Save file and will be a completely fresh start, there is no undoing this. 2. I've adjusted material reflections as to make the building look more realistic and less 'new' I hope this is to everyones liking, don't foget to update me on bugs and things you would like to see Happy gaming!

• Updated UI for User Comfortability! - 26 July 2020

  Hi! I have just updates the game files to reflect new UI usability. The following fixes have been implemented: 1. You no longer need to perform unnecessary clicks to access UI and gameplay 2. The health icon was not anchored correctly, this has now been fixed 3. On death, the UI that allowed you to restart the level or exit to main menu would point you in the wrong direction when trying to exit to main menu. This has now been fixed. Happy gaming!

• Small Update! - 25 July 2020

  Hi everyone, I have updated Hanefield Asylum with a couple of small fixes. 1. Ammo collection size is now larger, you do not need to be as close to pick it up 2. You start each new level with 24 bullets by default, this should make the game a bit easier with less need to rummage for bullets every time you respawn. Thanks everyone.
